Coming in waaaaay late as usual....I can top everyone's Friday...I spent it getting my appendix out....48 years old, and the only thing I could think of was "I WANY MY MOMMY!!!!" 

Called my sister, swore her to secrecy about it, but she called Mom anyway.....They were stuck in a snowstorm in Idaho in the big truck!  She was supposed to wait until it was a done deal and I was out of surgery.....brat!

Hope everyone had a good weekend.....don't remember the first 2 days of mine!  Drugs are a wonderful thing!


~nods~  I know the feeling.  I went through a bout with kidney stones a couple of years ago...fairly good-sized one...and all I could think of while I was holding onto that stainless hospital sink, tryng not to tear it off the wall while they figured out that I was right in what I had diagnosed about myself, was "51 yrs old...and I want MY mommy".

Had an emergency appedectomy yrs ago and had the bf call my parents @ 6 am., dad said they'd be up later that day - mom said "WHAT?!"  Get dressed, we're leaving now.

as a mommy...there is nothing that melts my heart more than being wanted. Even if our Mommys are no longer here, it is a tribute to them and a sign of how much we love them when they are who we want in times of crisis.

Status: offline 		Heal quickly soul!  I have to admit that a couple of weeks ago when I was so sick and finally came out of my dementia (unless you have a better word for it) all I wanted was my Mom.  And she's been gone 6 1/2 years.  In fact, there are residual moments still when I want her. 

Holly - can I have a hug?
