I love that I was able to see and hear Barak Obama speak in my hometown a few weeks ago, and was able to volunteer a little of my time helping in my local office, and was able to watch this historic night with my kids on tv. I felt pride that I was an American, not that I voted one way or another. I love that tonight wasn't a repeat of the 2000 election. I love that McCain had such incredible class in his concession speech, and I'm tremendously thankful that he served our country in the Navy and continues to do so on behalf of AZ. I love that I'm an Independent and can see the beauty in both sides of the aisle. I love that "Fake Virginia" showed up at the polls and proved that we aren't just an extension of DC... we ARE Virginia. Sometimes our accents are a little more pronounced in some areas than others. I love that we don't have camel spiders around here, but we do have the occasional brown recluse. (yuck) I love that I can turn Katie Couric off and not listen to her damn mouth because I'd like to slingshot her off the planet.
