Status: offline 		Hah!  I have a Garmin GPS (one of the hard core ones fer us geocachers) so I could drive, too!

I have a sense of direction as long as there are 1) mountains, 2) oceans, or 3) it's sunny out.  Otherwise I need a compass or GPS receiver.

Status: offline 		My sense of direction is flawless---but it is not a sense of ROAD.  If I haven't looked at a map, I can lead us right to a dead end!  But it will be in the right direction!  So, I study lots of maps.

no holly, not til halfway through december. there are whispers they'll replace me with two people... my vain side likes to think it's because i'm so damn good, but i think if they can do it, they'll change some of the duties as well

Yesterday we were headed out to see Jims mom. It is about an hour long drive and during that time Jim got the bright idea to teach the LoudOne what to do if he is ever in danger. Jim heard that a child should not yell things such as "help" or "let go of me" as these are common things for a child to say and are mostly ignored by most people.
Jim was telling the LO, over and over, what to do in a crisis. I sat there, mumbling that this just might not be a good time for this discussion. The LO just sat in his carseat...taking it all in.
Soooo...we finally get to the nursing home and take my wonderful mother in law to the lobby for a snack and a chat. All the other families were doing the same thing.
Suddenly...the LO BELLOWS what Daddy had been trying to get him to say in the car...."FIRE!!!!! CALL 911!!!"
Not a good thing to yell in an old folks home, lemmetellya.
