I love it when He comes over this morning, with two steaks, and says He's making steak and eggs for brunch for the two of us. I love it when He takes apart part of my vacuum to see what is making it not work properly. I love it when, after delicious "yummy" time, we curl up and take a nice long nap. I love it when He calls to tell me "thank you" for brunch when it was really Him who did the most work to make it. I love it when He calls me during the evening, to tell me that He may be able to pick up Thing 2 (like He did last Thursday) from school tomorrow. I love it when I got an email from the parent liaison at Thing 2's school, telling me that I should go to a local church earlier today and tell them my name, because we were one of the families who were chosen to get a Thanksgiving basket from the church who is doing this as part of their community outreach program. I love it when I go there and they were so kind, all I could do was cry. I love it when I brought it back and my dad and the Things were tickled at all the good stuff we got. I love that there was plenty for the four of us, and a little extra to give to my ex, so he could have some special stuff for the Things at his place, too. I love that Thing 2 got the wear and tear insurance for her new glasses for free yesterday. When I asked the lady if she had forgotten to add it in, she smiled and said, "No, it's there." I looked at the receipt and said, "But it's not on here." She smiled again and said, "It's right there... it's just the fee that's not there." I asked her why, and she said, "Because, sweetie, I can make those kinds of decisions." I thanked her and she just winked. I love that Thing 1 gave me a huge hug and said that he likes knowing that I'm not far away from him when he goes to sleep, and that if he really needs me, I'm just right there. I love that Thing 2 is so compliant about taking her cold medicine and just needed hugs like a little tiny Thing today when she started feeling bad. I love that my dad is able to do his PT exercises without getting winded. I love that my kitchen is clean. I love that I have made some terrific friends here, who mean so much to me, and we plan on getting a chance to meet one another one day soon. I love that I started the silliest IM conference with some of the liviest of the peanut gallery this afternoon, and they made me giggle all over the place. I love that Kyttyn wrote a eulogy for my dead buzzy, and reading it made me laugh so violently and insanely, that my dad said, "Oh boy, that must be something good." All I could do was continue laughing, as I surely wasn't going to read it to him. *lol* wee typo
