Status: offline 		My Norwegian Grandfather taught me that any excuse for a party was acceptable.  If he came home for lunch & I was there, he'd hand me a 5-dollar-bill & send me to the store for "bakery stuff & red pop" so we could have a party before he went back to work.  I always thought that was a good way to live.

Status: offline 		That sounds like great fun to me.  When my parents were alive, my daughter & I went to their place at Thanksgiving & they went to my sister's for Christmas.  Tomorrow I've decided to be by myself & do whatever comes to mind.  Maybe talk my neighbor into going someplace completely different.  She's vegetarian or vegan or something so she won't want turkey.  No Nellie's Salad for her either, since she doesn't eat dairy.

Status: offline 		Sheesh, I should be so lucky that they'd let me help cook anything during the holidays. You'd think that being male automatically makes me a clumsy oaf in the kitchen! Never mind each and every year I've given helpful tips, or flat out taken over when need be. But when I want to help out, prepare an actual dish, nope sorry. Sheesh, some times this tradition bs is a bit much!

Wait, this isn't the hate it thread is it? Um, uh... Linea, how about a Tofurkey?

Status: offline 		He should be monstrously happy.  He loves giving lovies.  I will miss his head bumps though.  But a young one all his own!!!  What could be better than that?  She was promised a kitten & while he's not a little one anymore--nearly 4 months old--he's small enough I think.  I know the family & cats rule there!!  He'll have plenty of feline playmates too!  And it will make my family a more manageable size.

Status: offline 		Nellie's Salad is coming along sloooowwwwlllly.  Just put the cream cheese out to soften.  For some reason, I just can't seem to get motivated to do anything in a timely fashion these days.

Thanks for the link to your thankful thread.  I so rarely go to Off Topic since all those political threads were there & I just had to stay away from that stuff.  I loved listing things!!  I'm sure there are more that I will think of & post later.
