Mmm, a bit of a head cold, but nothing too major.  Nothing a big bowl of curry won't help fix.  Oh!  Look at that!  There's one right in front of me! ;)

Otherwise, yeah, things are going really well.  Got all the lights up, got a bunch of snow, and about to get more.  All week long :)  Nice, cold, white christmas.  Loving it!

Actually, a ton of stuff going on here, now that I think about it.  My partner and I are teaching cooking classes at the V.A. hospital to the veterans in voc. rehab, and some of the long term residents of the Valor House (a program they have set up to help homeless vets to get back on their feet and into a house of their own). 

Getting ready for a big dinner here at home too, probably about 8-10 people, so nothing huge, but should be fun.  Gift shopping is all done, xmas music is playing constantly, fires in the fireplace, egg nog is in the fridge, and life is as intended. :)

Status: offline 		I know, Right??!?!?!  He's just the sweetest!!  I love Him!  He has lousey grammar and punctuation, but His heart is in the right place!!! lol  I just love Him sooo much!!  I'm all smiles again!  My dad talked to my grandmother and told her that it's not right for me to feel guilty about not going to my cousin's house because of having to have the UM back.  He also told her that she wasn't driving the whole way out there (since she thinks she had another stroke last week.) with my UM and me in the car.  So he is taking her, and I don't have to worry about it.  I love him!  He has helped me out so much in just one day!  And, he braught me all the things I left at his house for making my gingerbread houses. Plus, I wrote a song for our band today. Well, all but a chorus. I just can't seem to get it down right. But I'm working on it. And VERY proud of it!  Today was a good day!!!

I love it when I went to the store today and saw the HR hag of my previous job there, and I manage not to run her over with my shopping cart.  She eventually saw and recognized me, and she looked a hot mess.  (read that as: Mrs. Roper looked SEXY compared to her)  She asked me about my new job, etc. and I was able to tell her, truthfully, that I love my job, it makes me feel competent, it gives me a sense of accomplishment, and I love going to work every day.  She smiled and said that it was good that I found my niche again.  I asked about the company and how things were going, and also told her that I had just talked to the owner's brother 3 hours before I saw her, which was true.  I guess she figured that he had spilled all the beans to me, so she told me of all the pitfalls, the layoffs, the people who had been there for more than 15 years or more who just up and quit, the rush to get someone to lease part of the building to make the rent payments.  It was delicious to just stand there and listen, nodding, and then have her say, "But I guess you knew all that already, huh?"  I just smiled and said, "Um, no, he just told me about his daughter graduating college this spring."  She looked like she swallowed a bug, because she's so big on corporate information being confidential.  LOL...

Oh...  how I do love a good come-uppance.     [insert smug look here]

I can't wait! :D  I loooooove christmas so much!  I think my laptop is going to mysteriously end up in the toilet while I sleep, just so they can stop the music though. ;)

I'm glad that so many people are having so much going well here right now.  Y'all deserve it.

I love that, overall, 2008 has actually been a better year than 04-07, and just shows signs of 09 being even better. :)

Status: offline 		I love it that I go to the post office for the mail and have been getting xmas cards from my peeps over here in P and ORS.  I finished all of mine today, wrapped almost all my gifts for folks, AND I finished making about half a dozen holiday gifts, including the prerequisite hand crocheted ugly thing from the crazy aunt.  Oh yeah!  My niece is gonna smile and say thanks and then wonder wtf to do with this thing I give her.  heh.

I love that Red's Christmas is coming together.

I love the Christmas cards that have been coming in from some of the most wonderfulest people on CM.

I love that I have my Christmas cards made out and are ready to mail.

I really love that some of my hearing has come back.
