Status: offline 		He's on codeine and metacam, an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. But that's not slowing him down. And Soul, he was staggering yesterday a bit when he came home. He still does a little, poor guy. Every time he runs or jumps on something, my heart goes "thump!" and I'm telling him he's not supposed to be doing that....

  Punky ain't listening..... (so typical of a damn cat!)

aww Soul...that sucks. I am sorry...

The phone repairman was here fixing the line, then the manager showed up to fix the nasty water faucet leak in the kitchen and then I got the call from the vet's about Punky and how he wasn't doing good. I sooooo did not get anything done except the dishes and taking care of Punky.  *sighs*

RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

This was an issue when i insisted on taking the cats home the day of surgery;. The vet told me they only needed to be crated the first 24 hours. After that, they do what they are able to do...meaning if it hurt, they won't do it.

Status: offline 		I tried that with Gracious when she came home from being spayed... she wasnt happy about being held.. she wanted her water and her spot on the bed (she DID deign to let me pick her up and put her on the bed).  She's cranky when she doesnt feel well.

  Not Punky. That monster cat wanted OUT the second we hit the front door. Considering all the stress he'd been in at the vets, it was better for him to be out and about. And he was fine, he's recovering from this much better than I am....

I know it is hard...but just giving his all the extra attention is taking away the pain. And he is not mad at you Rain...he is confused by his condition. Remember...he was KO'd for the surgery and really has no clue what happened and why he feels so funky.

two of mine wanted cuddled, but i was so afraid of hurting them, so i put a hooded sweatshirt on backwards and carefully placed them in the hood. It worked well
