Just a little fyi. I used to pay for manicures, then one day a girlfriend of mine showed up with a gorgeous french manicure *that is all i like, I don't do color on fingers, only toes, anyway, she said she was sick of paying 40 bucks and over an hour to get it done at the salon and she went to Rite-Aid and for 5 bucks bought the pre-frenched nails medium square cut by Kiss nails. They looked so good I absolutely could not tell the difference between hers and mine. I have been using them since then, or the other brand, Broadway nails. Use the glue on ones, not stick ons, and I always use a coat of some kind of protectant, like Sally Hansen hard as nails on the clean dry nail, then apply  the nails, it takes 5 minutes and mine usually last 10 days or so. Just a little frugal tip. I know getting a mani is a treat, but when $$$ are low, it is nice to have a option. They even have the french for toes now too, wicked cute in the summer with some sexy sandals. 

Either way have fun and what a sweet Daddy! Don't you love that?

Status: offline 		I paid for years and years to have my nails done, in California and Idaho. Used to have monster-long nails with wild airbrush designs. But now I just prefer a simple french manicure or basic colour. (I think I'll pass on the blues and greens this time!)

Aynne, I'm having a bad time right now with my nails, we're thinking vitamin-deficiency. So until I can get them stable again, that's why I'd like the manicure to help protect them. I'm going to be starting a supplement as well. I'm sick of the pain of the ragged nails getting snagged and ripping back into the quick or cuticle when ya just look at them funny!

Status: offline 		I love it that my Diablo Cody book came today!  1 chapter in, and I am soooo hooked.  Its like crack!

I just love being engaged to this man of mine.  We have had our ups and downs, but dammit, I wouldnt trade it for the world.

I love going out to lunch with a friend and telling her over a glass of wine that I did indeed get engaged while I was away from the homestead.

I love the way said friends Lil Miss runs off the porch and latches onto my legs to give me a big warm (snot nosed) hug.

COOKED!!! for the Pirate, and he's still vertical and breathing!!  Especially since it was something that was an experiment for me (chorizo and scrambled eggs with diced onions, all mixed together, with tortillas).

Tomorrow, he's going to brave my steaks, mashed taters and sliced tomatos and cheese bites
