Actually I just went there for the first time and was kind of poking around when I found that group so I joined it. Just what I need, another time wasting internet forum...great.

I hate it when I'm taking antibiotics for the sinus infection that my cold turned into a couple weeks ago & I wake up coughing & sneezing & generally feeling like I have another cold coming on.  WTF?????

K, back on topic. I hate it that Linny is feeling icky again and I hate it that I have so much to do and zero motivation.

Linn darling, I was still on one antibiotic for a sinus infection when I stuffed up AGAIN and am back on another one for strep throat. It seems to be going around, whatever it is. And Greedy is right - if it's viral, no antibiotic is gonna stop it.

None of this is very good news, Rainy & Greedy.  I know that I'm under lots of stress right now & my body's not really absorbing much nutritional value if any right now, so I shouldn't be surprised.  I just really really want to start feeling healthy again.  Right Now Dammit!!!!!

Status: offline 		Unfortunately we are at our weakest when we're sick. Our immune system's are already compromised. When you add in an immune system disorder like Crohn's, it's almost a given you will catch whatever is going around. Are you on immune system suppressents for the Crohn's?

Status: offline 		Nope.  Right now I have no $$ for meds for the Crohn's so I'm just sort of suffering through till I get a job & some money coming in.  It's not optimum, but it is what it is for now.

Status: offline 		I got a neti pot this week- really cleaned up my sinuses. Have you tried one? It seemed squicky, but it's mostly benign.

Status: offline 		I may have to try that, although the sinuses are clearing up fairly well with the antibugs.  I couldn't afford the big guns, so I got one that I have to take 3X a day for 14 days, making the process of bug killing a bit slower.

i do not want to scare you Linea...but the same thing happened to me and before i knew it i had pneumonia. Be very careful.

And according to the MD, the reason only one lung was involved (and even that is not as serious as it could have been) was because the (highly annoying) cough kept the lungs from getting packed too tight. So there IS a benefit to a cough
