ORIGINAL: Asherdelampyr Is it more sad or more pathetic to deny the truth, despite any and all evidence when it concerns someone that you want or hate? I'd love a pancake with some real Vermont maple syrup...I'll even share my bottle of the sticky stuff! I'm working on my second cup of tea so far and this question caught my eye.....interesting one to read so early in the morning. I'd be lying if I said I've never taken a cruise down the River of Denial. At the time, it made sense...in looking back, yeah it was sad. I think sometimes the only way people can continue on is to pretend. Not saying its healthy or ideal in the long-run, just a short-term way of dealing with an issue. I do, however, have family members that have been cruising that 'ol river for more than 20 years...reality can be a long time coming. Hope that answered your question. Now, back to my paints and canvas...my muse has reappeared and I'm gonna work while I can. Hope everyone has a wonder-filled day!
