I definetly like FL the weather is more like Texas and winters dont go on forever. Plus I get back wicked scary storms. Mother nature at her best. If it can make the hair on my arm stand on end from the actually energy. I wouldnt go up to the devistation is causes, having been through Rita, but that itself is humbling having been through it.

But if I could pick any place to live in the world on a geographic sense (within the US), I would probably go back to the mountains. Seasons are just that defined seasons. Coming back from somewhere and winding your way home and the clouds come to you, so much different that ground fog. I lived just outside it was peaceful and being one that loves nature around her, I just felt at peace in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I have lived near the coast on several occassions, but the short time about a year I lived in Roanoke, I savored every day because I could look out my window and see so much texture.

Beaches brings people, mountains bring peace, at least in my mind. I have been through WV also, its just as beautiful.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling better after hanging out on the boards for a while ... . & I'm gonna go for a walk & that'll help a lot . . . .

I know it's just the chemical tide shifting in my head, & I just have to plow / grind / make it thru this moment, this day, that it'll be better . . . .. .

...my parents visit here ends up to be even worse then expected (today I declined to go out with them, when they don't know what they want they can do their crap themselves...thank goodness they are leaving tomorrow).

...my parents visit now wasted my time and money again as now I could not go to work on those days (and they had plenty shifts available at work) and could not make up my 3 outstanding days from placement either (as I took 5 days off in the past and only made up 2 of them so far...still have to make up the other 3 as otherwise I have to stay longer on my crap placement).

...someone is silent since two weeks but hope that is going to get better as he comes back to europe tonight.

...I can't make up my mind if I should pop over to Florida from 27-31st of May (right after my law exam and before I have to fly off to Gran Canaria work wise on the 1st June), or if I should wear my "sensible shoes" and get some shifts to work instead on those days...

...GT still has troubles with her boss...and yes GT get your butt up and look for another job *hugs*

when I'm aware that my neighbours have returned from vacation...and now the husband is practicing his opera arias...while his son practices on the piano and trumpet...and seriously..if the dude was some kind of placido domingo I'd love it..but he ISN'T. And the kid plays the same notes over n over n over again I'd LOVE to hear him play at least ONE song in full length..and on top of it all..they have never ever heard of CLOSED windows.

Phoenix..you are undergoing the "can't live with em, government frowns on burying em before their dead" syndrome. Take a slow deep breath and remind yourself, you survived them from the beginning, and they WILL go home, then strangle a teddy bear.I used to go bowling and picture the person I was angry at's face on the 10 pin.. So much fun bowling a strike.

Subtle...you Can get revenge yanno.. How about a little NiN pointed directly at their adjoining wall or where ever..OR if you are going out..It's a Small World on continuous play while you are gone. Since they have no consideration for you teaching them to close their windows may well be your best move.

thanks poenkitten, its not that they are that bad as such at the moment, I mean, I know that they don't listen and don't want my view anyway, so that I don't care about anymore, but the last 3 days they were here, each day they didn't get their mind up, what they want to do. If I suggested things they got declined or ignored, when we attended to a few rare things they were interested then they changed their mind, as "what a surprise" there are queues you might have to wait for a while...to cut a long story short the last 3 days were just plain wasted with walking around with no real plan and that's just not what I put up with anymore. I walk here every day around like mad between work places, on placement and to uni, I don't need to walk around for no real reason in any boring alleyways just because they haven't got a clue what they want. My dad made it already clear when they got here and announced at the airport that he won't bother to come to here next year easter as he prefers to go skiing...hello??? They had decided to turn up, I did not ask them to turn up...(followed by handing me his rubbish in my hand from his bag...the stickers they put on when you go on the flight...which is his "typical charm.") the only reason why they came was as they knew that there were plans in the air to relocate away from uk...that was the only reason why mum bothered after 4.5 years to come over here finally (as once I told them that I won't relocate my mums first question was "should will still come then?")...I just can't believe how they wasted their time to come to here with walking around at the boring places of nowhere just to get the hours of the day to pass by...therefore I told them today they can walk around in their circles like that on their own...am not that bored...and thanks poen...I do like your mentioned syndrom

and yes, thankfully I will have my revenge big time in the upcoming years, thats for sure and I can't wait until they reach the moment when they finally wake up...after their 100 year of stupidity sleep...

I used to play akkordeon over 9 years, piano over 3 years (was taught at school) and some clarinet and saxophone...though I am not placido domingo either I do know that it was not always nice to listen to it

and yes...sometimes I opened my windows intentionally as well...*lol*

and my day keeps getting better and better..now my OTHER neighbors have started drilling and hammering..probably putting up the furnishing that crashed down on Easter eve..and then AGAIN on Easter morning at 6am.

And if jo doesn't happen TO be tied up when you call, that is easily remedied, plus the torture and tickling are on going activities! You know....all the "fun" stuff.

And by the way, she really does "eep". Gosh I enjoy that! Not sure which I like to hear more, "ouch that hurts - that REALLY hurts"....or "eep!"

I'm not sure it's possible to play the trumpet and piano at the same time and sound good.
If they won't close their windows and the noise bothers you, counter this with smells that bother them.
