Status: offline 		I hate it when DB is going to be out of state for two more days and I need to talk to Him very badly.  His cell phone was almost dead, and His charger is at home.  PHUK!!!  He started to ask me about a topic that needs a face-to-face, and I had nanoseconds to Cliff-Note it for Him.  At least He has a bit of a prologue for the discussion, but dammitall...  *sigh*... I really just need Him right now.

Status: offline 		are you getting headaches and cranky and nausea? do you need to get up several times a night to pee and are drinking litres an litres of liquid?

do the pharmacies over there have lil kits to test your blood without getting the whole glucometer? will they test it for you, if not?

you probably are. if you don't have the time or inclination to eat much, then may i suggest you either eat slow release foods (oatmeal, potatoes, whole meal breads) that will keep your sugars on an even keel? eating sweets and processed foods will bring your bsl's (blood sugar levels) up quickly, but when your body releases insulin to deal with it, it can cause it to drop quickly as well. when your sugars drop below "normal" levels, that's when you get the headaches, shakes and nausea. sometimes it feels almost like a mini panic attack as well.

If he is in a hotel he can check at the front desk for a charger to use.  One time i didn't have mine and the hotel clerk had a whole boxful of chargers that people had forgotten when they checked out.

Thank you ladies for the warm hugs of encouragement.  They mean more right now than you may know.

Fluffy, great idea, but He's actually staying with family.  I asked Him to buy one tomorrow as He can always use the spare.  I just hate that our one mode of communication is a hot mess right now.  He won't call from His sister's house as the privacy is absolutely zero, and it's a zoo right now. 

Hopefully, He will get the extra charger, zap His phone and call me tomorrow.  I am just a bundle of nerves of late, and having Him back near me will most certainly help ease that, especially if He isn't too tired to drive over and see me once He is back in town.

Status: offline 		I hate that tonight, on the way home, I was bitching about how bad the traffic was on the detour (due to construction).. only to discover that the reason for the back up was a NASTY (possibly fatal) accident.  I hate that after bypassing the detour (which required going through the airport) I saw the car ahead of me hit a pedestrian on the EXPRESSWAY..

The police think the guy was a car thief, responsible for the first accident (probably on drugs). The guy wasnt killed (although he was knocked out by the car ahead of me), but I had to swerve and brake to avoid hitting the bastard lying in the road.

I stuck around with the poor kid that clipped him, so that I could verify to the cops that he HAD dont what he could to avoid hitting the guy.

When TPD got there, they were checking n the guy, covered him with a blanket (not over his head).. and suddenly, the guy jumps up and starts running!!  FREAKED ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cops tackled him.. took 5 to keep him down...

what a fucked up night.  I'm still shaking.
