Greedy, if you have a bird feeder, make sure it has seed in it. Hawks, being predatory, will be drawn to the songbirds and other critters(squirrels, chipmunks, etc.) that visit the feeder. When I see hawks in my neighborhood, I take my feeders down, so that the hawks will go away. I have a pet rabbit and 2 small dogs that spend time outside. When the hawks are around, I don't let them out. At all. To those that may be outraged at this suggestion... please don't flame me for how nature works.
