Status: offline 		I hate living alone sometimes. For some reason (Other than the nerve damage in my feet) I got up to walk to the kitchen and I fell. This happens alot with me, but damn does it ever hurt right now. I fell right on my foot. The pain is shooting up my leg

I am able to walk, so I know I didn't break anything, but from the look of the bruise that is forming, I may have sprained my foot. I knew I was having to nice of an evening. Damn.

Status: offline 		i hate it when i suddenly realize that the thing i was holding out hope for......the thing that was going to make everything 'okay'....the thing that was going to solidify my worth as a person........the thing that many of my hopes, dreams, and plans for the future have been built on something that i'm not entirely convinced i can do...Let me rephrase that..It's not that i'm not sure i can 'do' it...i'm not sure i want to committ the rest of my life to do it. i'm not sure i'm willing to sacrifice everything i have, everything i am, to accomplish this one goal....And while i'm at it i also hate when one day i freaking wake up and realize i've somehow planned my whole damn future on one goal. WTF am i thinking? Seriously??!!! i mean come on......Not everything in the free world needs to be about my need to be thin does it? Or does it? Is it possible for me to be a good person, attractive, loving, kind, courageous, talented, intelligent, artistic, funny, sexy and worthwhile and still be fat?

Im with Cali.
Case in point. When I was living with my daughter.
I had been sitting at my desk a good while and tend to tuck my foot under me.  Well I got up to go do something and said foot was completly and totally asleep.  Guess what happens when you use put that foot on the floor, it doesnt wake up.  I promptly fell on in heavy.  At the time my daughter and her b/f were out of town so it was just me and the kids.  No transportation, no friends, nothing.  Plus the fact I wouldnt have gone to the dr anyway since, hell I can fall with my weak ankles over nothing.
Finally 2 weeks later when I was due to go to nyc for a visit I decided I should get it checked out since hell it was nyc and all walking.  The dr took xrays and at that point the stress fracture had almost healed...but not properly....the damn thing still hurts at times.
So pretty much I had spent 2 weeks with a black and blue foot going up and down stairs to keep the bearded dragons, feed the kids, and various other reasons.

So my point I thought it was just a sprain, wrapped it and ate tylenol like candy since that was all that was in the house, instead it was broken.

Get the to the dr and make sure, in the meantime, ice your foot to take the swelling down.


My hate:   I hate that my brief pain free neck period is over. *sigh*  Before I left nyc I went to see my best friend who worked on it several times to loosen it up and it lasted till last week.  I hate that medicare doesnt pay for chiro or deep tissue massage and there is no way I could afford it.  Where is a talented massage sub when you need one.

Kali..dammit dont make me come hurt you....ermm okay dont make me not come hurt you.  Siece thee with the body image hate.  Remember you have Him and that wouldnt be if everyone in the world looked at the outside instead of the inside of a person.

Greedy, I hope the kitteh shows up.  As for the hawks Im sure they will be back.  We had a pair back in Tx that roosted in a certain tree in our yard.  It was wonderful watching them, once one of them even came and landed on the screened in area around the pool.  While they may wander off, they do come back.  Even after Hurricane Rita while it took a while they did return unfortunatly the storm took out their tree, so they relocated up the block and we didnt see them near as much.  Other than that I have no other hates....I just too happy and blissful here.

I did the same thing...had a few broken bones and kept walking on it.

MoGa....An x-ray now can save you alot of pain in the future.

Status: offline 		I tried to get up this morning and couldnt walk. I crawled to the bathroom. I am going to the ER, I think that the top of my foot is fractured, I feel two bumps where it hurts. I cant believe this! I will let yall know. Thank you for the advice, as someone once told me (when I fell through the kitchen floor) if you can move it or walk on it, "It ain't broke". Should have known better, but I have never had a leg or foot broke before. I had my toes broken and was able to walk on the foot.

I can't begin to tell you how upset I am going to be if I end up in a freakin' cast a few days before my Amiga's are coming here to visit! Grrrrrrrrrrrr! I will call you when I find out something, Cali.
