Status: offline 		I hate when I get a call from the teen (of my heart not my womb) who tells me she'd rather spend time with me instead of being on vacation because I'm "more interesting and have cool ideas".

Its then I realize loosening the figurative cord is a good idea...just not sure who's cord, mine or hers.

Thanks...but it just makes me realize that while I don't have the little one to coddle, I instead get the chance to be a buddy/mentor to a young adult who still thinks I'm cool.  I guess its all in how you use the lemons you're given.

I fricking HATE it that the bank charged us $26 for a small box of 50 single cheques. FUCKING HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They weren't even the fancy ones, just the very basic, plain bank cheques!

Status: offline 		  I did in the States, Potty, paid $10 for a box of 200 duplicate cheques there. But Lumus says it's different here and you just can't order cheques from outside sources because of something in the banking system. I dunno....I'd prefer to go back to Currents if I could. HELLUVA lot cheaper than the bank. However, since we only use cheques for rent (everything else is cash or debit) these should last us a few years.

Status: offline 		And on another note, I hate that I'm stressing that today is Monster #1's 21st birthday and hoping he'll keep it safe. I hate that I'm not there to celebrate with him though I'm exceedingly happy with Daddy here. And I hate all the uncertainty that is happening back home right now, between Monster #2 being alone there now and #1 off to the Navy.....

I wish I had a magic wand to wave and make everything just fine....
