Thank you for this Des! As it turns out, he was severely dehydrated. He has moderate diabetes and his surgery time was not until the afternoon. Add to this that between coming out of anesthesia, powerful pain drugs, he was so out of it when he woke that he kept pulling out his IV line. He wouldn't eat or drink convinced it was all poison. They finally sedated him, so they could do the CT scan and re establish his IV. He woke up very exaughsted, but reasonably lucid and thirsty. I will be more encouraged if he gets through the night successfully. Thanks for all the support! You guys are the best!
