He seems to enjoy driving. It is not horrid for him or anything. He mostly obeys traffic laws. . . except for those, "bridge ahead" signs. *sigh* Thank goodness Kansas is flat. LOL

The crossaints are finished and very tasty!

Next time I think that I will try the "medium" recipe and see how that goes!

I can't wait to get to Florida...I can bake again!!!!! My stove gathers dust big time from May til October......if it weren't for my crock pot and microwave, I'd never have hot food! Now if I can just find a place with a GAS stove.......I absolutely HATE electric ones!

It's official now....I'm moving...I packed my FIRST box tonight! Be better if it was my LAST one tho......there's no one I can bribe here to help me out with it.....and I'm dangerous with a moving truck...when I moved in here, I ran into the hitch with my leg, fell out of the truck twice, and walked off the truck without using the step bumper.....didn't drop the box, but I almost ripped my muscles up! By the time I got done loading and unloading the truck, I looked like I'd been beaten half to death!

Hi Holly~

So, I'm up last night packing and stuff and la la la and come out to the kitchen and everything's all dark, and I'm wondering what's going on, but I can hear people talking and stuff so I keep doing stuff cause I know they're all awake and get all focused and seems more time has passed than I think and then around what 10:30? 11? I decide time to go to bed and I go turn out the lights walk down the little hallway and BAM! Knock over a photo on the wall - CRASH!!! Yeah, wake up the whole house who'd fallen asleep while I was all focused and stuff.

And then clean up the broken glass. And then to bed... and guess what!

Insomnia.

All night.

I gotta go back to bed. I have to drive today quite a bit.

G'morning y'all.... today's local wildlife encounter is with Francis the Friendly Skunk......

So I wander into our bedroom and happen to look out our back window, just in time to catch this gorgeous, long-haired skunk amble up from a tree to our window. All I can think is "...wait. That's a skunk. Skunk. SHIT, IT'S A SKUNK!!!!!! DON'T SAY A WORD, KEEP STILL, KEEP QUIET - OMG, GRAB MR. SMARTIES SO HE CAN SEE HIS FIRST SKUNK!!!!!!!" Watch the skunk for a split second, dash out of the room and grab Mr. Smarties and whisper in his ears "shhhhhhh, don't say a word, I have something to show you!" :Daddy intrigued by my madcap behavior is following along, wondering what the holy heck I'm up to. In the few seconds I'm gone, Francis appears to have toddled off to who knows where behind our building as we can't find him anywhere.

So now in the last week alone, I've come face to face with 3 teen-aged raccoons trying to bust their way into my apartment, followed by a face tpo face encounter with a fat big 'ol possum a few days later and now this lovely encounter with Francis. (Who really was a beatuiful skunk, quite striking and adorable.)

Now you might be thinking "So what? They're typical animals" and I would agree with you. However, someone forgot to mention to said animals that I LIVE DOWNTOWN IN A CITY OF OVER 150,000 PEOPLE. This ain't the fucking farm - that's holly's place!!!!

So anyone want to come up and explain to these critters that they should think about relocating to the country where they belong?
