It's just tooooooooo good and tooooooo cute not to buy...(of course it is not necessary at all at the moment as Mr. A and my ex would tell me if they would know but well...I know by now not to tell guys so much anymore...) I seriously can't wait to get my student money in on 28th december *sigh*...it's needed desperately

And as much as I am looking forward to hopefully finish my course now next spring...I will miss my student installments in the future  I just love them  (damn...wrong thread, lubs are not meant to be in here )

Status: offline 		I hate that last night, while I was working late, I got a text from a well-meaning friend that said, "I hope you are NOT still at work."

When I read that, I was instantly pissed off.  This friend often tells me that I work too much, need more down time, etc., which I wouldn't mind, but it's a recurring theme with this friend, and it makes me feel like a little kid who's being monitored. 
My reply:  "LOL, of course I'm still at work."
Friend:  "You need to go home soon.  You're working too much and you need to get to get some sleep."
Me:  "I'm doing my job, my family is taken care of, I have deadlines to meet, and I've been doing this type of work for 13 years.  It's nothing new to me."
Friend:  "You need to make sure that you are taking care of yourself.  Please get out of there as soon as you can and go home.  I'm sure your dad must worry"
Me:  "My dad and I have a no-report-to policy in place.  I don't answer to him, and he doesn't answer to me.  I'll get home when I get home.  Besides, my kids are with their dad this weekend, so it's not like anyone is waiting for me."
Friend:  "I won't be able to sleep until I know you are back home and safe."
Me:  "You could be waiting a while, but I appreciate your concern.  Take care."

When DB called me as I was leaving the office, all He said was, "Why so late?"  I said, "Heavy case load."  He said, "Gotcha."  That was it, no drama.

So... I'm still irritated at my friend, who means well, but aggravates the crap out of me at times. 

*sigh*

I hate that my daughter is refusing to let me see my grandkids before she takes off half way across the county.

I hate knowing what all those kids have been through which I cant mention because of TOS. and I cant even give them a hug.

I hate that I dont have a suppot system to help me get through this.

I hate that I feel unworthy and unwanted.

While i don't know the situation with your daughter...it sucks. Seeing kids get affected by things that they shouldn't even know about sucks more.

However, you may have more people around you that care than you think. If you need to...you can always pm me.

Also, you are worthy and wanted...but some times it is harder to see that than others.

i think it's a wimmin thing. we take on so much, and sometimes we just need that valve.

If i was still practicing and you were one of my patients, without knowing anything further about you, i would be wondering why you have a problem allowing yourself to feel anger.

Get pissed!!! You have a right to feel that way, so do it! Anger is a perfectly natural emotion and can be so very healthy and cathartic when used properly. It is also the ultimate motivator. You want to see your grandkids and are not permitted to do so and it is breaking your heart...so get up and DO something about it. The law recognizes grandparents rights for visitation. Get your butt to an attorney (legal aid if you cannot afford to pay the fees) and file for visitation. Exert your rights here.

As to your "friend". What the hell are you feeling so bad about? She tossed you "under the bus" and you are feeling sorry for yourself. Get pissed, damnit!!! Get a piece of paper and start to write her a letter...and sound off. Wait a few days before you decide whether or not to send it, but write it.

Come on Lumy-toones. I think what Rain is saying is step-parents, while no shared DNA, are real moms and dads too. I was a step-mom and i felt the "just their dads wife" slap in the face a time or two. Nothing against their wonderful mother, but i was a bit of a mom to them too...certainly more than just the broad that married their dad.
