ORIGINAL: Phoenixpower Hi folks, just to let you know I am at home now until sunday...got send home from my placement and can't fly home (written in "i hate it"). According to a nurse I have a viral infection and according to her antibiotics don't help against that virus I don't believe her ...however, so I am meant to drink lemon tree-wise...to get the vitamin C to help me to get better according to that nature-bitch (I prefer that proper stuff yanno...such as antiviral stuff which helps fast am not that great with patience ) you are like me...i have a huge amount of tolerance when there is an illness...with everyone but myself. I do not pamper...i get pissed off. I also have to prove to myself that this illness will not get the best of me!!! I generally lose that one, btw. The nurse is right. Antibiotics are a waste of money when you have a viral infection. Worse than that...taking them (hoping they may just make any kind of a difference) will cause your body to build an immunity, so the next time you really do need them because of a bacterial infection, they will be less then effective. Viral infections have to run their course, Phoenix. There is not a hell of a whole lot you can do to speed up the process. Therefore...take care of yourself. Pump the fluids in and when you think you cannot possibly drink another glass of orange juice, have another one. You want your body to be ready to roll when the virus leaves. Right now it is not. That virus will be gone for a few days before you are up to par. Try to equal things out now by sleeping and eating/drinking as you know you should.
