ORIGINAL: sirsholly Jeff...I did the simple survival stuff when it was just me. It is a whole different story when a child is depending on you. Jim was not home and I could not risk my safety to get the generator to the house. If something had happened to me, the loudone would have been in serious danger. I had no idea jim was going to do the impossible and make it home. We are going to go back to the farm in the morning. Hopefully the roads are passable, but I can't even call a neighbor because the phones are down, so we may have an intresting walk to get there. But the animals will be fed tomorrow. The cows had new round bales on Friday night in preperation for the storm, and they have a running stream for water. The cats though, need food and water and lordie are they going to be pissed! Seriously Holly, I was joking. I know you have the LO to worry about. As for the cats being pissed, explain to them that they could have gotten the generator for you, and tell them that lassie would have.
