Good Evening, sunshine!
 
It's slightly overcast this morning with little bits of sunshine peeking through.  Temperatures are pleasant in the 60's F.  The birds are chirping.  The rain is forecast to return later today.
 
i have a small load of laundry to do today.  i'll put it in the washer (downstairs - 12 apartments share the washers and dryers) on my way to the fitness center.  Then when i come back from my mini workout i'll put the load in the dryer before climbing the stairs to my apartment.

Facebook is down so excuse me while I hijack for a minute - I just gotta tell someone!

The 12 year-old played soccer last night in the pouring rain.  They managed to play till 1/2 time before the ref called the game.  Our team won 4-0.  Why am I sharing this?  Because my boy took a penalty kick ........ AND MY BABY SCORED A GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(he plays a very very deep defense and is lucky to score 1 goal a season - so a goal in only his second game is ..... well .... over the moon!)

Anyways - Happy May Long Weekend.  It is absolutely pouring here.  With a chance of flurries this evening.  Good thing I didn't waste my money on bedding plants yet!

Wow...thank you :o) I always thought that i'm weird to prefer pens to shoes and handbags...sometimes at work some staff make snarky comments due to me keeping a close eye on my pens (eg if someone borrows my pen i usually keep an eye on it to make sure it finds back to me...unless it starts to get empty,then i happily let it go),however, what those ones dont take serious enough is the fact,that if you dont keep an eye on them they are gone fast!!!

Apart from that it is now 1am and i finished my work on placement at last :o)

Could have done another hour there, but then i wouldnt get a bus home so i
compromised and do the last few forms at home and post them. Most important fact was that all files are up to date with my written work and the computer files are up to date...as after all that i can't do from home.

Therefore now its time to spend next four weeks to write my dissertation and to work for money again full-time...at last :o)


Good night folks :o) time for duvet time :o)

Status: offline 		I have to share. Got a letter from school today, was afraid to open it to see what else this child has done. He's being honored at an awards ceremony in a couple of weeks. I think for the amazing improvement in his grades from the beginning of the year till now. He had no idea about it and I am so happy to get good news instead of trouble.

Status: offline 		Thanks fluffy...on placement I got really nice good bye pressies today...and whilst I usually can't stand coasters...I have to say the ones who were part of my present are just plain awesome yep, was a good day again at last

A real shame is that the new manager came so late....i would have preferred if he would have been there during all my placement as he is very good how he treats his staff....not as arrogant like that bitch which we had before...I think I would have experienced a wider range with him there then with that previous woman we had...but well...doesn't matter, its over now :o) tuesday I am going to attend an open evening at a prospective employer

Apart from that I am also glad that you can continue your treatment fluffy, after all what happened...you are in my thoughts and prayers young lady (((((hugs)))))

I am now back in Larryville instead of Hickville!  WOOT!  Unfortunately on this trip I never really saw anything that screamed "Butterhead" at me.  So. . . I returned home empty handed for her.  However she was quite pleased with a partial package of crackers.  Go figure.

Status: offline 		Lizard is giving me heartburn (or a broken heart) She forgets that the attendance person gives me a call (computer) and yesterday, it was stating that she was not in school.

anyone got duct tape? Its the only way I can get her to study and learn anything. Now she is liking world history...as long as it pertains to Germany and Prussia. She also want to learn German...anyone got a copy of Rosetta stone german that she can use?

Maybe hanging in the closet is the best thing for her...My baby baby brother wants her to come up here for school, but they don't offer the music class that she needs.

My SIL is doing better. The gallbladder had an infection of its own. She is recovering pretty good from the surgery, just 30 pounds lighter.
