First, I have been dealing with Violet Wands for over 10 years. Not only as a collector, but also repairing and manufacturing new kits. Ever since the 1920's when these were used as medical devices, there has never been such a thing as a 'ceramic core'!
That was a rumor that got started by someone that produced modern day kits, starting over 15 years ago. That same person made the claim that 'his' Violet Wands, can run up to two hours. Needless to say, that person isn't around anymore, nor is his business.
All Violet Wands ever manufactured, even the new kits offered today still use a wax substance as an insulator. However the new maufactured Violet Wands does use a newer, more modern, formulation of the wax that doesn't overheat and melt down like the units back from the 1920's.
Anyone that tells you that 'their' unit has a 'cermanic core' is lying to you to try and make a sale! There is, and never was such a thing as a 'cermanic core', and I can prove it!
