Solemnly preaches one thing when its good for his Dearest Leadership, solemnly preaches the exact opposite when that becomes advantageous to the cult.

And OF COURSE his cultists defend him.

Obama 2016: Still has faith in our democracy. Republican abuses exist, but at least the gerrymandering is done at the time of the census and at least pretends to be triggered by changes in population

Obama 2026: Massive Texas gerrymander and open encouragement of other red states to follow suit. Republican Texas state officials openly brag about it and say they SHOULD do it because they can. The House, and statehouses across the country become absorbed by the massive maga cult, if there is no counter measure.


BOTTOM LINE: Gerrymandering is such a ridiculous petty partisan act that destroys what are country is about. Our founding father never imagined the pure corruption of political parties would reach this level.

The solution is: For purposes of VOTING, make all house member and state legislature seats at-large. All races become statewide. Once the election is over, if the states want to divide focus by legislative districts of the winning candidates, they are free to do so.

No more lines. No more gerrymandering. DONE.

This one is laughable because it is both horribly inaccurate, and misleading, even if it were accurate.

Here are the ACTUAL numbers:

Massachusetts: Total Registered Voters: 4,911,924 Democrats: 1,211,657 (24.67%) Republicans: 396,408 (8.07%) Other/Independent: 3,303,859 (67.26%)
8%!!!! Not 36% With 9 seats in the House, 8% isn't even realistically enough to win a single district

With an Independent voter base of 67%, it is nearly impossible to gerrymander this state at all

Connecticut
Total Registered Voters: 2,358,527
Democrats: 826,670 (35.05%)
Republicans: 496,715 (21.06%)
Other/Independent: 1,035,142 (43.89%)


21%. Not 42%... COULD BE enough for 1 out of 5 seats, but with that many Independent voters, it is hard to tell.
Possibly gerrymandering worth 1 seat. MAYBE


Maine
Total Registered Voters: 965,085
Democrats: 325,974 (33.78%)
Republicans: 287,858 (29.83%)
Other/Independent: 351,253 (36.40%)

30%. Not 46%
Not likely enough for even 1 of Maine's 2 seats

New Hampshire
Total Registered Voters: 1,090,612
Democrats: 306,899 (28.14%)
Republicans: 348,293 (31.94%)
Other/Independent: 435,420 (39.92%)

32% Not 48%
New Hampshire has always been a very centrist/independent/slightly right leaning state
With all of the independent voters, 32% is a tossup at best to win 1 of New Hampshire's 2 seats.


Rhode Island???? Really?
Total Registered Voters: 757,856
Democrats: 264,085 (34.85%)
Republicans: 108,915 (14.37%)
Other/Independent: 384,856 (50.78%)

14% 2 seats 50% independent


Hawaii????????? WTF?
Total Registered Voters: 786,769
Democrats: 297,616 (37.83%)
Republicans: 107,115 (13.61%)
Other/Independent: 382,038 (48.56%)

13% - 2 seats!!!!


Delaware??? Are you kidding me???
Total Registered Voters: 767,325
Democrats: 319,605 (41.65%)
Republicans: 193,810 (25.26%)
Other/Independent: 253,910 (33.09%)

1 seat!!!!! 25% Republican 42% Democrat 33% Independent.
Do you know what gerrymandering even is??? You can't gerrymander a SINGLE district. The entire state is the same district.
No one who is not in a cult would post this stuff!


BTW: Same with Vermont - 1 seat
Yes those mean old Democrats gerrymandered Vermont!

Republicans: 413,976 (31.44%)
Other/Independent: 358,695 (27.24%)

3 seats - 31% Republican Maybe 1 seat is a tossup. No evidence of gerrymandering here.
