This is in no way directed at anyone specifically, using fast reply.... There is encouragement in society for people to be fat? where? who? how? How on earth did I miss it all. Maybe food commercials? Are fat people the only people who watch/see/read/take notice of commercials for food? Movies and tv shows are always using ordinary plain people, with hundreds of fat celebs? (oh darling one day you can be just like Roseanne or Rosie) Too many people making designer sexy clothes for fat people? Or even regular designs that can be found in your local store in the same designs as slender people? Should we count ourselves lucky to have any clothing beyond mumus? Airlines cater to fat people? Seat belts designed for fat people forced on the slender population? Bathing suits designed for fat people that dont look like my great great aunt jemimas all encompassing sack that she wore on her holidays to southend on sea in the 1920s? god forbid looking for a bikini ("do you mind getting off the beach ma'am the tide is waiting to come in") I have been fat/chunky/chubby/bbw/cuddly/large/gross/cow like/pig like/ fat bitch/ physically prosperous etc etc etc.(YAWWWN).... my entire life, yet I have never once, (not even a hint), heard of anyone or anything encouraging me to enjoy my fatness. I would probably fall over dead from the shock if someone actually did. and no Im not looking for sympathy, I am who I am and bugger anyone who doesnt like it. Maybe it means that by accepting someone of size you are encouraging them? enabling them? like an addict? oooooooooooh then by all means put them down instead, call them names, accuse them of being less than human, call them lazy good for nothings, make yourself feel better by laying your issues on those who deserve nothing better. Thats encouragement I can live with. (yeah a tiny bit of sarcasm there...) Using health reasons IMNSHO is bogus , beyond family and friends, most people dont give a rats arse about anyones health, mental or physical, (unless they work in those professions too). until its time to "justify" their dislike of fat people, then all bets are off. I dont have an answer, I dont even have a question, I read, I learn, I enjoy and start all over again. We all have stories, the good, the bad the ugly and more. We all have reasons why, excuses, and self justification for what we do, wether it be physical, mental, sexual, emotional, a hobby, a business, a craving..... but I see very little encouragement for anyone with a weight issue. The world is a mean place in so many ways, I try not to add to the load. I prefer to laugh and love and enjoy what is out there, its so much more satisfying But opinions are like arseholes, we all have them and occasionally they stink my rant allowance(self imposed) has been used up for today Have a great weekend Lucy
