What would you do?
That question pops up everywhere
like a weed I cannot trample.
Why are you asking me what to do?
That decision lies only with you.
Despite all the opinions you've gathered,
consider what you want to do,
not what we would do if we ever
find ourselves in your shoes.
It's great you're open to suggestions,
but don't base your life on my opinion
or one that is not your own.
Voltaire brought up a good point,
that I'll expand on just a bit.
Not only will I defend your right
to speak your thoughts and your beliefs,
but I shall also defend your right
to live your life however you wish
no matter if I agree or disagree
with the choices that you make.
It's not my place to judge you-
we can only judge ourselves,
and most of us have to do so in
a world determined to hate us
for the decisions they're afraid of.

Nice poem. Dr Dyer also speaks well.
