A former Navy man had applied for job at the Post Office, and was being interviewed by the local Postmaster. During the interview he was asked many things, to include if he was addicted to any substances, and if he had any physical restrictions or impairments. He replied he had no addictions, didn't smoke or even drink coffee, and that he really didn't have physical limitations... but had gotten his testicles shot off in the war, but it would not hinder him physically in any way from being a good Mailman. The Postmaster stood up, congratulated him, extended a handshake, and said, "Welcome aboard, we usually clock in at 7:00am, so you come on in Monday at 9:00am and be ready to start". The ex-Navy man enthusiastically shook the Postmaster's hand and said thank you Sir, I'll see you Monday morning, and turned to leave. As he approached the door, he turned around and said, "Excuse me Sir, but you said everyone starts at 7:00am, so why are you telling me to come in at 9:00am?" The Postmaster replied, "All we do for the first couple hours is stand around smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee and scratching our nuts, so you won't need to be here until 9:00am".
