*Sigh* This has been a longtime search of mine...to find a full body harness that is decent quality and attractive, but doesn't break my bank. As in, under $100. I've seen a few that came close, but the problem is, I want something that also:

A: has an open back, that is, doesn't run a strap between your cheeks, if I want that, I'll buy a thong...

and more importantly:

B: is sized and styled for a smaller, less muscular sub. Yes, I know harnesses really can accent a man's body and make him look great, but I don't want this for making a man look good....I want this for making a boi feel controlled and more submissive. But everything I've seen is with huge, wide buckles and straps....I'm trying to find a slimmer, cleaner look...kind of like the harnesses for women, except without the breast styling...female harnesses are almost downright cute sometimes, and that's more the style I'm looking for.

Is there anything out there like what I want? Everything I've seen is being worn and peddled towards big, strong, muscular men that makes them look more sexy....I just want something for a small, lithe, weak lil pet boi to make him look cute.

Have you considered making one?
I can make one for under $20 usually. Now this wouldn't be a weight bearing harness, but one used for costuming or for light bondage and control.

I usually watch the thrift stores for used leather garments. (pants are best). The leather is often more supple and flexible (think comfort). Depending on the size of the pants, and the width of the straps you want in the harness, you can get 4-6 pieces that are about 3 to 3 1/2 feet long. Go to a local hardware store, sewing store, and/or craft store to purchase "o" rings, "d" rings, and buckles.

You can stitch it together, or use rivets.

The main thing is to find a picture or two of harnesses you like, and maybe ask a friend to help you plan it out carefully since your measurements will change as you bend to fit yourself. If you're going to go to the trouble of making this, make it well.

If it's to be used for costuming only, try the faux leather and suedes at a fabric store. They rock as long as you don't place them under heavy strain.

Message Me on the other side if you want more advice or if you want Me to help you out. (I make costuming for local performers and this would be a no-brainer if you sent Me pics and measurements.

I have seen some pretty inexpensive and cute looking harnesses at http:/www.sub-shop.com

Yes, see, that's exactly what I mean Sirenical...both those harnesses were very nice; they were sexy, showed off the sub's body, they were slim and not too over the top in styling. I would love to put a female sub in one of them. That's the sort of thing I want....but for a male. And because both harnesses have some focus of their design with being worn by a female, it's not quite what I'm looking for. Kinda makes me wonder if there might be "unisex" harnesses out there though.

Calandra, thank you for the suggestion, I never thought of that before. I've never done much leather work or crafts, so I'm sure anything would be quite a learning experience for me....I was considering learning it at some point as a hobby, and starting small with things like bracelets or collars. A full harness would be a bit much, but yes, would certainly be the way to get what I want.

This harness would be for light play, things might be attached like a leash or the cuffs of the pet, and it would have to put up with light to medium stress from that or from the pet romping around or being held by his harness, but it wouldn't be a weight bearing harness or something he would put constant strain on.

impossible since men are men and women women....

I suggest a rope harness...but well...I'm a rope fiend.
