      Well, I'm having a cold one because friday evening turned out to be a pain in the ass.  I ran out to get dog food and my damn car dies.  Guess who left the cell phone on the charger???

      So I'm at a gas station.  The clerk speaks enough English to tell me that I can't use use his.  Finally get a phone I can use long enough to get Progressive's damn computer, tow truck shows up, I turn the key on to put it in neutral, strong lights... what the hell, it cranks slow for a rev, then fires right up.  Back home now (obviously).

       It was what is was.  I even have it parked where I'll have shade to check connections and pull the alternator to test it in the morning.

      Yeah...  Tires were supposed to be tomorrow...   If it isn't the alternator (new battery two weeks ago), I'm probably just going to buy one of those little Hondas.  I dunno...

        Funny thing, DG.  It wasn't the worst time.  It might have been the best.  I have tomorrow to play with it, instead of scrambling for an alternate way to work. It happened in the evening, close to home, and I was even in a decent neighborhood.  When the battery went out, it did it in the driveway on Saturday afternoon.

      It's a good car, but it's 14 years old (low miles though), and needs a bit of work.  I'll see what it needs beyond the list I already have.
