Status: offline 		i play d& d too Aylee but havnt recently and i also play magik and dreams ike hit us as a tropical depression tore shit up and we still dont have power but we should be getting it back tomorrow

edited to add: im also on line via house being powered by a generator.

Status: offline 		yea no injuries just lots of trees down and powerlines down because of trees but alls good so far clean up was easy at our place but most of the county and neighboring counties have taken a few days to clean up and get power back we have about 1000 ppl out of power the news just said

edited to add: and thats inland in KY after Ike was a tropical depression IN got alot of rain and flooded

Status: offline 		yea i edited to add on my other one LOL KY got the winds that got me up with no power at about 8:30am and indiana got the flooding out of it and we got it early sunday when it was supposto hit late so i was home alone with the dogs and mom and them comming back from missori in it and they said it was pretty bad on the route they took home.

I have not played 4 yet, but I have the books and have read them.  There are a lot of things that I really like.  It is true that there is little to no die rolling in character creation.

Status: offline 		I have friends who played 4th ed on the yearly camping trip. Over all the opinion that the basic stuff was really neat, but the mid to high end stuff for just about everyone is pretty badly done. The whole online game feel is there big time. And they didn't even touch the mages. Then again we're more into the Star Wars Saga Edition which is where I think 4th should have gone.

Having seen the 4th ed books myself all I can say personally is ewww.

In the character creation.  In the game playing itself, there IS die rolling.

I didnt spend over 300 bucks on dice to NOT use them damnit!!!

Status: offline 		Actually there's a couple cute things that involve die rolling.. but um, you could really just as easily flip a coin for results now. Lots of the attacks are save based. You hit all the way, or just a little.. doing away with this concept of not hitting. Unless you're some git and don't want to use your one trick pony technique over and over (and over) again.

You also have Hit Points and Healing Surges.  Which changes the way the hit points work.

And with that, I am off to bed.  If anyone REALLY wants to discuss this, cmail me and we can exchange an easier way of discussing it rather than on the forum boards.
