Status: offline 		I love San Antonio, but I have to admit I do love snow too. It has been a while for me. I lived in Hawaii before I moved here. No snow there either. But I got enough in Maryland to last me for a while.

The Wiggles and Barney are bad, but the worst for me was being dragged to see the stupid Pokemon movies when they came out. Talk about torture.

Status: offline 		my kids are long grown, so i didn't have to see Barney, et al...we just had Sesame Street & Electric Company, which my daughter called "Leckwork Company"

Status: offline 		You know, I have some serious issues with Seasame Street.  I think that is one of the big reasons that children are not learning much in school.

Because it teaches kids that learning should be only fun and no work.  If it is not enjoyable and fun, then they do not want to work.  Learning should never be hard.

only if that's their only exposure to learning...i gotta disagree with you on this one, cause i do think that learning should be fun & the best teachers are the ones who can make the kids enthusiastic about learning...but i also think that parents need to be involved, whether it's a tv show or school...& just cause something is fun doesn't give it less value, in my book.....

Status: offline 		my hubby is a teacher - high school - and the most fun he's had in a long time is teaching a Forensic Science's class - the kids just have a blast.   Trying to figure out how to do blood splatter analysis.  I suggested taking the kids to the local slaughterhouse ..................
