A woman called the firm earlier in the week and started yeling at me about the notice she received for not paying her legal bill and that the next communication she got from us was going to be a Summons from the Sheriff's Dept. I told her that I was not going to listen to her scream and yell at me because she wasn't in control of her emotions and that I was going to hang up if she didn't get herself in check. She got pissed, demanded we waive the late fee, and when I said "no," she told me that I was making her blood pressure rise, which was bad for her health. I told her that her screaming was making her blood pressure rise, not me, and that I'm sure she didn't mean to come across as such an unreasonable, out of control person. After she got herself back in line, she agreed that the charges were accurate, and sent us the payment the next day via overnight mail.

Lesson 1 - never take a "tone" or start a "shit-fit" with me unless you want me to end it. (Just ask the Things.)

you go, hot Red!!! i used to be the best at collecting accouts receivables for the chiropractors for whom i worked that they agreed to let me run the office & i would be in charge of them...hehehe...we all got rich!!!

this little pet must go to bed now...although i don't know how much sleep i'll get since i'm so excited to be travelling in my own little roomette for the next day & a half, all meals & bottled water included & they'll even deliver...& i really can't wait for the shower-in-a-moving-train experience!! tata, all...i'll wave as we chug by.....

I am in New Orleans. *sigh*

I was really excited to be seeing a new place. But, after seeing this place, I am wondering why they do not just let the alligators have it! UGH!

i have friends, but because i've been over the road for so many years, most of them are too far away to hang out with...once i stay home for awhile, that will change, i'm sure.....

the train ride is supposed to be 29 hours, but i expect it to run at least an hour over that...while being in a coach seat for the ride down here wasn't all that bad, i'd really like to sleep more on the way back....

& when i get home, he said i can get Spike the Amazing Wonder Dog a kitten to keep him company while i'm working....

one time i got a kitten who was just opening his eyes...i took him everywhere with me & bottle fed him around the clock...ok, ok, my girlfriend fed him the night feedings...he literally did fit in my hand with hand left over & i would carry him around in a pocket...he ended up weighing 18 lbs+ & was the meanest cat on the block...i adored him, of course!!

he was a hoot!! i named him Tucker, so as not to offend the neighbors when i really wanted to name him the more appropriate F**ker!! LOL my daughter took him & kept him until he died last year...this year, she got another kitten who looks nearly identical to Tucker & he's a very cool dude, although he thinks he's a dog & the dogs think so too.....
