Leftovers?  Or did you just make one serving?

No, I made a lot so that I could get several meals out of it. An effort at cost-cutting.

Then when you reheat the leftovers stir in some more tomato sauce.

It's not standard tomato sauce. It's a blend of oil and chopped tomatoes and basil.

Good afternoon Fluffy, DC, and everyone else! Hugs to all! How is your day going?
If I disappear, it's because I wasn't smart enough to get off the computer in the face of an oncoming thunderstorm.

Fluffy, I'm with you, leftovers are evil, and since I live alone, I know what you mean about not being able to use things up fast enough before they turn into science experiments.

Ok, then make another batch of sauce to use on the leftovers.  or half a batch.

I know exactly what you mean! I went raw vegan for about two months back at the end of January, and now I'm about 80% raw, which means fresh everything with a little cooked meat and a small amount of cooked veggies. It's been great for my health, I've lost almost 30 pounds, but it is very difficult to maintain...especially when everyone on here is nattering on about ice cream and other things I haven't had in 6 months.

It's also difficult because every meal is an effort. I'm sure you know what I mean, no just grabbing something munchy-ish, you have to actually make something. *Sigh* But I wouldn't give up the improvements to my health for anything.

Rosie, congrats on the weight loss.  Mine is very slow - 40 in a year.  But that's 40 i don't plan on seeing again.  i still have 60 to go and it may take another year.  i need to get more exercise.  sigh.

Whew! Finally got back on here! I hate my connection!

Anyway, congratulations Fluffy, it isn't easy to lose weight, and gradually is best. I've lost almost 100 pounds from my heaviest 10 years ago, but it's been in about 30-40 pound increments. I'm having a hard time right now with my body image...I'm not seeing what's there, I'm seeing what USED to be there. Very strange thing...are you going through anything similar Fluffy?

And DC, thank you, you are a sweetheart...but don't worry, I won't tell anyone!

i am usually surprised when i see a pictures of myself and my buldges.  When i look in a mirror i "see" myself as i was in the 1970's when i was W/H proportional.   Weird, isn't it.

When I weighed 250, I thought I looked like I was 195. When I finally really looked at pictures from that time, I was shocked to see how big I was. (I'm only 5' 1/2")  Now that I'm 156, I still think I look like I'm 195! Not only that, but when you lose weight at my age, the wrinkles are no longer fluffed out, and I've acquired a turkey neck somewhere in there! ACK!

Yes, so it's seriously time to work on my body image! Maybe I need to acquire a male sub to massage me and pamper me? It might not help, but it sure can't hurt! *LOL*

I'm always shocked when I see pictures of myself. "Am I really that big, that round?" I always ask myself.

Yeah, they told me the same thing, and in a way, they were right...I figured that my personality transcended the weight issue. But those pictures don't lie...I was BIG!

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I posted those pics on a new profile...what sort of responses would I get?
