Status: offline 		The Opera today is Tales of Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach. It was first performed in Paris, at the Opéra-Comique, on February 10, 1881. 
The most famous aria from the opera is the "Barcarolle" (Belle nuit, ô nuit d'amour), which is performed in Act 3.  A barcarolle is a folk song sung by Venetian gondoliers, or a piece of music composed in that style.  A barcarolle is characterized by a rhythm reminiscent of the gondolier's stroke.  The Barcarolle has been incorporated into many movies including Life Is Beautiful and Titanic.
 
Jacques Offenbach is also well known for his "Can-Can" music in Gaîté Parisienne a 1938 ballet based on his music.

Status: offline 		Went to a motorcycle show today.  It had about 25 touring (Honda, Harley, Suzuki, Star by Yamaha and Valkyrie)  bikes fitted out with saddle bags and back rests for the passenger.  Most had custom paint.  It brought back memories of riding with a club in Oklahoma.  We often traveled into Arkansas and Missouri through the Ozark Mountains.
 
i would love to go on a motorcycle trip again.
