The Renn Faire was cool, especially since I'd never been before. A bit hot, though. I actually thought I saw you there, but it turned out to be someone else, alas. Montpelier was fascinating, especially in terms of historiography. It was the home of James Madison, later engulfed by a duPont mansion. Restorers have removed the duPont additions and are remaking the house to look as it did in Madison's day. Life is good. I've been enjoying my summer idleness and seem to be on the short list for what I think would be a really cool job. Fingers crossed!
