He who laughs last didn't get it and doesn't want the others to think he's stupid.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say that there is more Winning!!! than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Well, the first thing we did was sign in on the sign-in sheet and give the name of the professor that told us to come to the meeting to get *extra* credit...talk about ways to increase attendence at a campus club meeting!

Then they asked for three topics and we voted on which one to write about.  After we voted we were told to write for 20 minutes on the topic we selected.  But if we didn't like the chosen topic, just write on one of the others.

After writing for 20 minutes, we got in groups of 4 and read each other's stuff.

Then we reported on what everyone wrote.  And a few of us read our writing out loud to the group.

Does that sound like a normal writing club?  i have nothing to compare.

Sounds cool. I've never been in a writing club, so I don't know how yours compares to other groups.

I did, but it wasn't really a club. It was more of a spiritual group. We'd take turns bringing a topic, then we'd write about it for half an hour. Afterwards, folks were welcome to share what they'd written. Then we had a general discussion on the topic.
