DC, according to some people there is "chemo brain".
However, most of the symptoms are also those of stress and anxiety. It seems to be a short term memory thing. Skills and intellegence don't seem to be affected. Common adaptive things seem to help most people - writing down things to remember in a little notebook, keeping a calendar, having a place for everything and everything in it's place, etc.
Since i haven't started chemo yet, i have to find another excuse for forgetting things...senior moments?
One thing i do is keep a tote bag hanging on the front door knob. As i think of things i need to take with me the next day, i put them in the tote bag.
Another thing i am using is a daily report spreadsheet to keep track of my meds, protein, liquids, BP, temp, white blood cell count, etc. It's all on two sides of one sheet of paper. It's especially difficult for me to keep track of meds that are "as needed (PRN)" if i don't write them down along with the time i take them. There is even a comment section for noting mood, events, or questions.
Sometimes i send myself emails to remind me of something.
