I picked up some nail polish today for the manicure on Thursday.  Pronto Purple.  I think Lizard would love the color as well.

I never paint my nails.  The color starts peeling 15 minutes later so it's a waste of time and money for the polish.

Do you use a base, then color, then top coat ( three in total ) ?

mine chips about like that if i'm rushed and only slip on the color, but the extra steps really add to the life of the polish.

Master Rich arrived this afternoon. The first thing He did was lock a chain on my ankles - so i have to walk very slowly and take short steps.   (pic on my profile)
 
He also brought me a Phillies Baseball cap.

No base, just two thin coats of color, and top.  If I use base, it starts peeling in 10 minutes.  [>:]

Sounds like a drying time problem.  I spend at least an 1/2 hour getting my nails done.  The polish will last me 2 weeks then.

As far as I can tell, it's an issue with my body chemistry combined with the shape of my nails.  My skin is very oily and my nails have natural ridges.  I've tried buffing the ridges out, but I can't stop my body from producing oil.  When I want my nails to look good, I make do with the kind that glues on.

i have the same problem Sylvere... with the nailpolish. Figured out a trick to make it last if i now HAVE to paint my nails. I use some fake nail glue and just lightly (and quickly) brush it on my nails. Then i can do the whole base, color, and top coat... and have it last for more then 15 min. Even so i only get maybe a 2- 3 days max out of doing it this way, but at least it will last me through a special event or special occasion.
