Alright well now things are getting a wee bit more serious here in the kitchen so I am going to run out for a bit and work a bit harder here...... I think a few vehicles just pulled up...... Oi Vey!!!

We teach techniques to deal with creepy, hugger person.

They come in for the kill, take one of each of their hands and bring them together in front of you. Then give them back to the person and step back.

Then politely say that you do not wish to be hugged. Most people will accept this.

1) This gives the person a feeling of physical connection. What is amusing is that this connection is to themself.

2) Allows you to avoid being hugged.

3) We often mention that one can come up with a good shore story to explain not wanting to be hugged. My favorites are "Im not a touchy-feely person" or "Im sorry, I have a cold" or "In my family growing up we were never very huggy" or "I have a skin allergy."

Good luck protecting yourself from creepy hugger-person.

Might help getting their socks and undies off of them at the party.

Oprah Winfrey hates being hugged. She interlocks her fingers with the other person's hands and does this little dance pushing the hands back and forth while smiling at the person she defended herself against. We teach that
one as well; we call it the "Oprah."
