Poor Linea, I hope that at least you are getting a warm bath. Or perhaps tomarrow you could go to Glenwood Springs and soak in the hot springs.

It is really something to sit in the steaming water while there is snow and ice everywhere and snow falling.

Well, the hot springs are outside, and so it really is a neat thing to do.

What you have to keep in mind about trucking, Aylee, is that while they pass through everyplace, sooner or later, actually having time to stop and enjoy is pretty damn rare. And the best places rarely have parking places big enough.

(And mentioning a long hot bath is just mean.)

I know that, but I also know the area where she is at. Just not sure what kind of routes or what not she actually drives. I also am unsure of the accomodations that they give her.

I don't have the right kind of temperment to run long-haul, didn't do it for very long at all, but here is a thumbnail. You live in a space smaller than a prison cell, take a number to get a shower stall in a truck stop, and drive right past very cool stuff every day.

There are certainly some very good upsides, but not enough, for me at least, to outweigh asshole dispatchers who have you running late from the minute you get up in the morning.

Until he started having seizures my dad drove a tractor-trailer, but it was the same route every night for UPS. So it was not cross country, like Linea.

Yeah, that would be a career changing sort of incident. "My" truck on my previous job went to a new guy who fell asleep at the wheel and rolled it.
