It's a really nice cut of beef for the grill.  A local restaraunt (that winds up being our kitchen fairly often) does a sandwich from it with melted cheddar and hickory bbq sauce.   Mmmmmmm.... bbq sauce.

add:  It comes with a wide strip of fat unless you buy it trimmed.  The meat is pretty lean though if that is something you need to watch.

I do miss a bit of sauce, but using dry rubs isn't too bad. Our local bbq joint shut down, sadly, the guy wanted to travel, and didn't want to rebuild after Rita. They had incredible ribs, and baked potatoes that made your head spin.

how odd that gas prices would be lower where the refineries are....hmmmmmmm...how did that happen??

Well, it's easier and cheaper to get it to local markets, is part of it.

I have a trick for getting the sauce to glaze very nicely on the ribs and chicken but I prefer rubs for steaks or the bigger cuts.  There is a lot I haven't done and I have to admit, I'm still learning what works and doesn't on the new grill.  The last round of tri-tips I did wound up well-done somehow.

I knew my wife was a keeper the afternoon she saw me with bbq sauce up my nose and didn't run away.

i won't win, no matter what, because:

1) i never win anything.  i always get, "Sorry, please try again."

2) i never have the last word.  i never care about having the last word.  i never try to have the last word.

3) i never participate in these silly things.  (i had a little free time on my hands and decided to make an exception this time but, i expect it will be the last time.)

Good luck to all the participants.  Have fun!

Thanks for attempting to take us on a guilt trip. Just Kidding.

I have come to the realization that there will never be a winner, but you know what..... this is a great place to bullshit with everyone throughout the day.

No worries, Joy.  Mod XI can claim the prize whenever she chooses.  We're just chillin', grillin' and swillin' and chattin' until it happens.

I won a Rubbermaid pitcher playing Bingo at the Vermont State Fair. That's about it for me.

At a company function, I won a day off, I was drunk when I won, and asked if I could use it the next day. They said no, so I went to work with a hangover.

Ahhhh good times.
