the funniest warning label i ever saw was on the inside of a lid to one of these containers...it showed a baby in the container with the lid going on in a red circle with a slash through it...my first thought was, "now where am i supposed to store the baby??"

Egads, I have the local zoo.... Cats, 2 kittens, 2 muttskies (cocker spaniels), ferrets, a rabbit and the attack hedgie! I work with several local rescues, if you can't tell. There's a reason I live in the boonies, ya know! *winks and laughs*

i got Spike, the Amazing Wonder Dog from a rescue...i don't think i will ever get another pet any other way...he was feral in New Orleans when the big wind hit & got scooped up with the abandoned pets...it was 3-4 weeks before he would allow me to touch him...now he's so socialized to humans & such a tame guy that people refuse to believe he was ever feral...he is most amazing & wonderful!!

hedgehogs are awesome- mine goes ape over worms but any ole thing will do- she's basically a small vacume cleaner

You got it - Belle is the funniest critter I've ever had. Combine her with the ferrets and you're guaranteed a laugh around here. Most people just don't understand having a hedgehog and ferrets in the same house. Along with the other critters....

Excellent. My little girl travels everywhere with me. Friendly, curious and since she stays in her tub except when I let her out, no worries.

I have a small box turtle (size of a 50 cent piece - 3 years old), a beta fish, and a cat that one of the baliffs put in my office when I worked at the courthouse when I told him I'd help him find homes for his kittens. (Actually taking one in as a pet wasn't what I was thinking, but hey, she's family now.) On Monday, Thing 2 is adopting the class hamster as the momma just had 11 babies recently and the stud (daddy) has now been put out to pasture... in our home. *sigh*

I love the idea of a hedgehog though. My gem (our sub girl) works for a wildlife rescue, and adores all critters. She has pics of her and a sweet little hedgie. Just adorable.
