would a match help? oh, crap!! i said i was gonna shut up & be nice...arrrrggghhhh, that's too hard for me...

i know the difficulty with the packrat behavior...i come from a long line of them & i don't look forward to the time when i have to go through that many boxes at my Uncle's house...there are pictures & negatives from the last 60 years or so...he used to be a professional photographer...he took the pictures for my sister's wedding in 1962 & she still hasn't gotten the copies...the negatives are in some box, we think....

We are still so far from having to clean out, I suppose I should just enjoy it. We gained more than 1000 sq. feet when we moved in here. Half the closets are still empty.

Well, I was in southern California.

Spent a day watching them tape Jeopardy!, which was interesting. Was nearly a contestant, but they wound up not needing me 'cause of a tie, so I'll go back in April.

Then headed to Ojai, where my aunt and uncle live. Hung with them and my folks. The big excitement was going to see Hearst Castle, which I've wanted to visit since I was a kid. Also saw elephant seals on the Pacific coast, a mission in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, the beach at Ventura, and a visit with my severely disabled goddaughter, whom I hadn't seen in years.

We did see quite a bit, which was nice 'cause I'd never been to SoCal (aside from LAX) before.

I think in April I actually will get to play. I'm a little disappointed about the delay, but it gives me more time to bone up on my weak areas and a chance to get the cat hair off my jacket!

Hey, Rich! How are you?

Hearst Castle was wonderful. It helped that we had a gorgeous day and a great guide. And the scenery is indescribable.

Didn't make it to the Queen Mary, so I may try her in April.

i loved the Hearst Castle...what a loony old lady...stairs to nowhere, etc....the kind of old lady i would love to be, come to think of it.....

edited cause i just realized that was the Winchester Mansion...this lack of oxygen is getting a bit tiresome.....

I think you may be thinking of the Winchester House.

Hearst Castle belonged to newspaper publisher William Randolph Heart--who, some would argue, was loony in his own way.

yeah, i'm afraid so...i was diagnosed in the early 90's, but decided after awhile to just practice denial on it...this last hospitalization kinda scared me into at least asking for the meds...now if i could convince myself to use them.....
