Pardon the pun, but I am acquiring an ErosTek 302 along with many attachments. One of these is a urethral sound. I do not have any experience in using sounds on My slaves. This particular one is stainless steel and is about twice the circumfrence of a pencil.

I am assuming a lubricant should be used, but what type? How slowly and gradually should the insertion be accomplished? Should the slaves penis be soft, or semi erect or erect when the insertion is made? How far in should I typically insert the device?

I would appreciate hearing from those of you well versed in this practice, or who could point Me in the direction of some qualified literature on the subject.

I'd suggest sterile medical lube. It's fairly inexpensive($10ish for 100 packages) and can be purchased at any medical supply store or well equipped pharmacy.

The state of penis isn't that much of a concern, might be marginally easier if it's semi erect. As for depth it's really up to the bottom, he'l let you know how deep it can go comfortably.

Just take it slowly and everything should be fine.
oh and it goes without saying everything the surounding area(including hands) should be as clean as possible(see above statement).

Not 'Eros Trek', Eros Tek. You can see the different devices they make here.

I have no first hand experience with this. Although I've watched many demo's over the year's. Never seen it done on anything but a penis that was totally soft.
Generally there is much pain for a few days later. They usually say it is a burning sensation while peeing. A friend of mine told me he didn't even want to pee.
Although I've seen it done on some with no burning at all.

Always seen a sterile lube used. Even seen one demo person use neosporyn. Something about the antibiotic effect there. You can't just shove something into the body with no ill effects. Especially when it is an area where you never should have anything to begin with.

Most I've seen is maybe an inch and a half in. Of course I'm sure that could vary from person to person.
Go very slow because if you puncture something that becomes numerous other issues.

Good Luck.

Actually if the bottom is burning for days afterwards they might have gone too big too fast. Most sound kits have sizes starting from fairly small to huge so if you're just starting out you'd want to go pretty small.
Also the sounds can generally go 7/8 inches in, depending on anatomy etc.

Not trying to be a know it all, just saying...

If there is 'much pain for a few days later', the practitioner very likely did something wrong. The sound might not have been perfectly smooth and irritated the urethra, it might have been too large and caused micro tearing in the tissue or too much force could have been used. A mild burning sensation is normal the first couple of times the victim urinates after sounding, but that should cease once all the lube has been expressed. Pain for days is a *bad* sign.

we sell sounds at the store where I work. (not sure if you can get them at our website or not- www.thepleasurechest.com) I have asked the other employees about them and am of the understanding that you should use surgilube, wear gloves, use an appropriate sized sound (the smallest, i suppose) and let gravity pull the sound in once you get the tip in. (no pushing is what I was told.) We have probably four kits that are all graduated in size and contain about 10 sounds apeice. the smallest set is really tiny and the largest gets as big around as a magic marker.
I would also recommend that you not start sounding with an electrical sound. We also have those (from Rimba and PES) and they seem to be rather large.
Good luck! Keep us posted!

KY or Petroliem Jelly is what is widely used in hospitals when incertions are made.

Have the person you are inserting it into relaxed as possible. Errect or Limp will very from person to person. If you don't mind being nice, allow them to breath good deep breaths and have them focus on another object.

I am curious as to what the experience is like - that of getting a sound. To be honest I can't figure out how it could be pleasant, gives me the heebee geebees just thinking about it...so if anyone has had one, I would love to know what the attraction is.

Thanks

DS

From the people I've known who have had them. It is more the fem tops desire and not the bottoms.

It really varies from person to person. I personally enjoy it in or out of a scene.
There a few reasons it's enjoyable for a bottom. It's a fairly invasive procedure that can have a huge psychological affect on the bottom. I guess it could be akin to fisting in some respects.
And like fisting, it feels really good when done properly. I find that when the sound is deep enough I have the physical sensation of orgams pretty much constantly.

Sounding is a wonderful activity if done safely. There is something so erotic about (pardon my crudeness) fucking the part of a man that usually fucks a woman. You do need to be sterile in this type of play or you risk giving your partner a bad infection. Infections can be treated if the sub goes to the doctor promptly, but I know of several people who didn't and have urethral scar tissue. Men can be funny about going to the Dr and saying.. well, you see.. this woman stuck this metal rod up my penis and now it burns like fire when I pee.

I've never had a sub have more than mild discomfort the day after sounding. I can not stress the sterile issue enough. Also, never ever use something that may scratch the inside of the urethra. This includes Q-tips, which I hear too many men say they've used!

http://www.medicaltoys.com/lib-soundplay.htm has a great article on sounding.
