The recent thread about a femdom taking on two gay male subs (if I remember correctly) got me thinking about something (and a lot of, ahem, fantasizing about another thing).  I think most people acknowledge that there are lots of men that pretend to be women online in chat and email to get juicy conversations going, get a lady on cam, or string someone along as long as possible to get their jollies.   The men pretend to be dominant lesbians or submissive lesbians, whatever, to get their own satisfaction.

It made me think about the plausability (and ethics) of wandering over to a gay male bondage board and pretending to be a dominant man in order to get some hot young gay sexpot to do all kinds of nasty, compromising things for me on cam and in email.   Sadly, a little thing called a conscience got in the way, and yet another fantasy is put to rest -- however, it does make me think about whether or not any dominant women would ever admit to doing such a thing.    (Yes, the "I'm in" part is a joke;  I can't bring myself to do such a thing).

Any femdoms had any luck seducing a gay bondage boy while still being honest about her gender?

Some sites give many more priveleges to women than to men. I may be straying from this thread but I think that is why many people do it. I always did identify myself as a male, when contacting people. You know that on the BDSM type of sites, this was a deal breaker to many because of the trust that people demand from the one's they chat with. A woman told me that she had met a dom this way and I thought I would give it a try. I did meet a few women that understood, I would not suggest it but it did work.

Ohh god I had loads of this a few years back when I went through a lesbian faze I frequented a lesbian site called gaydar girls and I arranged to meet several different people who mostly turned out to be fat 50+ old men who thought nothing of lying about their sex and then still suggesting we have sex[&:] what wankers.  Fortunatly I have much better methods when arranging to meet people.  I might add three of these men had got women to go on webcam for me to veryfy that they were actually female.  I thank god I was always sensible enough at least to meet in a very busyplace in the middle of the day and never give any details out to them.

I never have had one get to the point of meeting.....they usually disappear when I refuse to write them wanker material. For me, there are usually some pretty big red flags like......."what would you DO to me?", or a refusal to discuss real life issues and focus on sexual or play related topics.

In fact I had one email me this morning. Brand new acct with a very suspect photo in the email. It just screamed. male pretending to be female. I wrote back that IF indeed that was the case I would figure it out rather quickly and that they should not waste either of our time. The profile was deleted soon after they read my return email.

Oh and would I return the favour and pretend to be a guy.......oh hell no! I've got better things to do with my time than that.

That's like the greatest line of all time, no?  They go to the delete pile quick for those 6 little words.  I've yet to meet anyone true to the life who asks this.

Way back when I had more time, and was also leaning a lot more male on my personal gender spectrum, been there done that.  If asked about the details of the player rather than the character, I would generally be honest about my biological gender.  Very few people ever asked, and the few who did generally continued to accept my gay male dominant character as a hot top for online scenes.

Never pretended to be male, but have had some gay males do some pretty hot things for me. RT though, not online.

You might be surprised, or maybe not, but I can say yes to this one.

There is a site called "worldleathermen.com" and I went to it once and created a profile because I was interested in exploring the possibility of a male who would be interested in service for service's sake and SM play for SM play's sake, without all the sexual overtones, undertones, and just plain tones I encounter from sub males on het sites. I made a name and a profile that alluded to my actual sex, though I didn't want to outright get kicked off the site, so I kept it vague. Still, I got several replies from people who undoubtedly got the drift that I was born with girl parts. I don't consider the profile unethical or dishonest...I am evolving in my gender-fluidity and while I will never be "male" I do identify very closely with gay men and get along well with them as peer rather than the fag hag type. To my surprise, I received only positive responses from men on the site. I never ended up meeting anyone in real life but mostly due to lack of time and understandably, lack of responses. Still might be worth a go when I have some free time.

I've had the same thing happen. Sometimes it can have quite awkward results. Whenever playing a male character I was always considered male by the person playing the other character involved.

One of the female roleplayers I had been interacting with began to make passes in subtle ways. While flattering it wasn't condusive to continuing the RP. She thought there was something unnatural about a genetic female playing such a convincing male. She also condemned me for "trying to lead her astray". Riiight.

The same thing happened, though with less of an explosion, when I was playing with a gay male RPer. He was only mildly squicked... and didn't resort to accusing me of trying to corrupt him, as the other RPer had.

Another of my co-conspirators developed feelings of a romantic nature for what she thought to be a male RPer. She is now a very, very good friend of mine... and still harbors tender sentiments, even knowing now what she does about me. I think she'd make a brilliant co-top/Dom.

While I do credit my devotion to character development, in part... I now also attribute some of the success to being potentially transgendered. My therapist and I are still in talks on that particular point.

Gender is really only an issue as far as body parts go. After that it's all down to personality. I would never lie to anyone to get what I want from them. However if someone hasn't got the sense to ask straighforward questions about me then sometimes I can't be bothered to tell them.
But that's just me it has nothing to do with whether I am a man or a woman.
