ORIGINAL: ygraine Hello Tim, Most people really don't want an answer or they only want re-inforcement of their own opinions. It seems to be human nature, not just a problem here on the boards. A few times in my "on the road" days I recall listening to talk radio and Dr. Laura. Now, I do not like the woman at all but one of the things that amazed me is how she would give advice and people would argue with her! She was and is really good at getting to the meat of the matter. People would hear what she had to say and start sputtering....it was funny to hear. They really, most of the time, just wanted to hear that their own actions were the right ones, or how other people had wronged them. I see a a lot of that here. Most people just want agreement. I wish you well. Y Greetings Y, I agree with you on this. I call it justification of self. It is what I consider to be part of self deception. If someone has a desire to have someone else add justification to their actions, then there is often a problem with those actions. Those actions should be more closely examined, introspection, and the person should apply their code to them. Where there is a deviation between their code and the actions, they should then look to see if it goes against one of their foundation principles. In this way we can learn to grow and improve ourselves. As has been mentioned before, when someone ask "What is Gor?" or any variation, they are showing their laziness. Those who wish for knowledge rarely gain it, but those that truly desire it, knowledge will find them. Orion
