Douching isn't good for the vagina, you're right, I even said so in my first post cause I am the one who started the post. It used to be all the rage to douche and femine eve products were sold like mad and now they're not advertised much any more.

He's a young guy who wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to sleep w/ two women. Unfortunately, he didn't tell me about her smell until AFTER we all had sex. (He had vaginal sex and some oral sex the day before I joined in the action.) If I had known that her smell wasn't pleasant, I wouldn't have participated because I'm extremely paranoid.

Douching is generally discouraged because people do it with WATER or worse yet, SOAP. Both of these types of douching are BAD because the lower the natural acidity of your vagina, the very acidity that keeps the bacteria away.

However, a vinegar douche (if porportioned correctly) will make your vagine MORE acidic, which is GOOD, if your problem is that it isn't acidic enough.

On the other hand, sometimes it's just better to let your vagina figure things out for itself.

and on men most std's don't present any symptoms so he can go on boping as many women as his dick desires and not know he's infected unless he gets tested.

And actually lepid douching is bad for the vagina, because it affects the ph balance of the vagina and washes out good bacteria and yeast and allows an over abundance of the yucky stuff grow.

Actually, I don't see how you would end up smelling like the other girl unless she had an infection that you now have too.

There are thousands of types of bacteria that naturally inhabit the vagina. None of them are considered STD's. It's perfectly possible that she just picked up a bacteria type that she didn't have before that produces the smell.

And if that is the case.... let's say the yeast infection meds don't make the smell change and a doctor rules that I have nothing wrong w/ me.... I think I will simply go mad if the smell doesn't go back to my own. That smell offends me and I would be most ashamed to present myself to other men in the future.

If you talk to a doctor they will not recommend douching ever. It strips the vagina of the natural ph and can cause problems.
Of course as some have stated there are ways to make it less traumatic. Vinegar and water.

HOWEVER, I remember learning many year's ago that douching can actually help a person get pregnant. If the sperm is not swimming fast enough the douche will help them a long their way.

I have noticed that sex frequency does change scnet and taste. I had this one chick when she was pretty young and a virgin. The best pussy I have ever tasted or smelled. I swear she was like honey. I wouldn't say that it's a fishy smell but it's not a pleasant smell none-the-less. I haven't had sex in 3 weeks because I've been separated from my boyfriend because we were both taking separate trips out of town. (He'll be back on Monday.)

I haven't been to the doctor yet because I haven't gotten my insurance card from my school yet (and Lord only knows when that'll happen!!). I still smell like her but the scent isn't as strong as it was a few weeks ago. In a few days, it will be officially a month that my pussy has been smelling like this. I dont' think that this is normal and I am definately visiting my gyno as soon as the opportunity arises.

I have always liked my own vaginal scent. < don't want to bottle it tho> I have always assimilated it with my femininity.

I went thru an early menopause and for some reason felt less " womanly" because I did not menstruate. Kinda like nothing was separating me from a man. Weird, I know.. but the mind is a funny thing. After a short while, I became more keenly aware of my vaginal scent. It was a reminder to me that I had not lost my femininity.

My scent changes after sexual intercourse, and I love that smell. It's like re living the events of what just happened. It's very soothing to me. Sometimes sparks my desire for more.. LOL.
