This article actually brings up various points pertaining to BDSM exchanges that can certainly be applied to all participants regardless of sexual preference.

very good article. one thing it brought up was the comparison of gay master/slave relationship wiht the 1950s housewife, which is what i have seen in most cases (including mine), trying to emulate it
