I tried and failed twice to help a sub loose weight. Once in a long term, once in a short trerm. It did not last long before they suffered withdrawl and went back to eating cookies all day again. If they wanted to loose weight, they would have.

krikket -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 10:09:41 AM)

There are some things we all have to do for ourselves like smoking, weight loss, health care, etc.  We have to do these things because we've accepted the fact that it's better for us, and we want to do it for ourselves.  To lose weight or stop smoking require self-discipline, no matter our orientation.  Our partners, friends and families can help, they can encourage and praise, but, imho, you can't make anyone stop doing something like this unless they're ready to accept that they and they alone are reponsible for their actions.

The difficult part, i would imagine, is watching someone you care about do things you both know are harmful, but the decision is up to them.

How many Masters {men and women} are able to enforce and control their submissives weight and influence their dietary habits?

I know a few who do do that. I have had experiences with partners in the past who wanted me to log everything I ate and then would critique what I ate during the day, one eevn had te gall to tell me to lose MORE weight {insert shocked and taken back expressions}; I was about 135 at the time and he wanted me to drop to UNDER 130, NOT SAFE. At 135, I get yelled at to eat by most friends, heck, I get fast food brought to me at times.

I do look forward to having a Master/Husband who would encourage me to work out more and to eat healither, I am already in good shape, but if its something we do together or as a family then its more realistic, then it becomes an 'us' thing and not onesided.

I even got the curent top-type person in my life to compermise, I limit my soda intake anyways and I have been slowly working out more and more, yet, he is in great shape and getting in better, as long as I am healthy thats what matters, yet, his encouragement of 'try using weights while you are working out your legs' or  'try to drink cranberry juice instead of soda' or even the most subtle, 'if I didn't like what I see I would not look.' Good enough motivation for me. My goal is 12 hours a week working out in some fashion {including yoga}, right now, I have the motivation; he is controlling my weight, nope, its getting me back to being healither and to toning up. Positive encouragement works wonders.

Hello BountyHunter,

But everyone in America WANTS to lose weight, (or do something to glorify YOUTH and not be a loser).  And it certainly isn't about standing over anyone counting their calories (that would interfere with my reading).

Biolife forms just behave so much better on an empty stomach.

Weight loss is a happy by-product for them - which ultimately makes them more attractive to others, gets them out of my hair, and on with their lives. I've taken many insecure and slavish sweat-asses (who had become so through their inability to measure up to all the marketing mix despite their WANTS), and turned them into primo chXX.

They were then able to move forward into more lucrative lifestyles as a result of their appearance and attitude that I made for them. You need to have good material to work with, you really can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but as long as the underlying bone structure is good I can fix her. Of course my help doesn't come without a price.

An artist isn't paid for his labor, but for his vision.

Dominus Sancti,

Sir Kitty ^_^

I guess this is more what i am seeking.  I don't think i need someone standing over me with a clipboard.. but i do need encouragement and direction.  Its really really hard to do even the most desired things for oneself when your doing it completely alone.

Okay I am taking a big risk here, and I am not trying to start
another friggin fat thread.

However...... *laughs* [:D]

Thus said, I am in the process of buying a bathing suit and getting
ready for a long, hot summer and many fun times in the pool.
Of course, I want/need to lose at least 10-15 pounds to feel more comfortable
in my bathing suit.
I wonder if it would be easier, IF I was a submissive and had a Master to help,
make and exert control over what I eat. [&o]
How many Masters {men and women} are able to enforce and control their
submissives weight and influence their dietary habits?
Thank you in advance, now let me eat a few more chips and find a cold brew.
[:D]

I would fully expect a woman submitting to me to follow a reasonably healthy lifestyle. That could include keeping track of her weight, having bloodwork done annually, eating well and getting some exercise. It doesn't mean she'd be expected to be an anorexic wreck or Miss Fitness USA contestant, though.

ownedgirlie -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 12:04:35 PM)

There is a reason people hire "trainers" at the gym, to help guide them through a weight loss/exercise program.  Some people need/want that extra motivational help.  One doesn't have to submit to someone to get that help, although in my case it helps, because I want what he wants for me, and his delight in my success is a huge encouragement.  I also wanted to lose weight and struggled for years with it, until the edict was to do it for him

He has me on an exercise regimen but gave me the opportunity to control my daily diet.  Since I have been succeeding with that, he sees no reason to change it.  If I were not succeeding, he would alter it himself.

Kinkypupper -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 12:17:11 PM)

I seem to think that a lot of "Gym "Trainers" are Doms without knowing it :-)
Anyway to the question.. YES  as was said here earlier the Mind is more a focus tho, and due to my  other issues I did let my slave gain a few pounds, she is at the gym now twice a week and diet is a big issue for both of us as I also accept that I need to loose a few lbs. It would be easier tho for her if she had a "partner" at the gym to allow both of them to encourage each other.
Its not that I am telling her to diet but that she knows that her current weight ( tummy ) displeases me and that she strives to make me happy and proud of her- thus "SHE" wants to loose the weight.  Some things are very difficult to "train" a person to stop doing, weight and smoking are two such things. Early on in our relationship I told her to stop smoking, which she did but after a bit when things became a lil more stressed out came the cigarets and altho she was ashamed of doing so I realized that some things "she" had to want to do, not to do them just because I ordered her to.  The weight issue is not major but due to some meds she popped up about 25 lbs and its been hard to get it off with small measures, but she has lost 5 lbs in the last few weeks so its most encouraging.  Again the key is to develope a feeling in her that "she" wants to do it not only for her but to please her Master.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or you're serious, I bet sarcastic though, since americans are becoming fatter and fatter each new generation, also, the obesity levels are rising, in adults too.

szobras -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 2:24:44 PM)

If I desire her to loose wieght, it is her that ultimately must do the work. Enforce?, well I believe it is the obedience that is re-enforced, not enforcing the task itself. That obedience is re-enforced through influence, encouragement, guidance, support, and trust. The willingness to submit and obey must come from her.

alivingdoll -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 2:49:04 PM)

I'm not a Dom but I am a certified personal trainer (newly certified and just getting a client base ) and the largest factor to weight loss is number one - a strong desire to change and usually it's the client doing it for himself or herself not anyone else in the picture .Number 2 is finding the reason's why your overweight ? be it an emotional eater vrs a super taster meaning you just love food ,you have to be willing to not diet away your weight but make life changes or the weight will revisit you .The third and final is finding the motivation to drive you to your goal .

I'd say food intake is key and portion control but without exercise and the right kind for your body type is a recipe for failure . find an eating plan that satisfies you then find an exercise routine that you enjoy and can see the progress will keep your new choices in line .

Losing habits and then weight brought on by those habits takes alot of rethinking of the way you feel treat and operate your body .I have my clients keep a food journal not only listing what they ate but the emotion behind the food also when they snack outside thier plan i have them ask is this a need , want or desire ? it's interesting what leads to overeating and when they can read the reason behind it then they can attempt to self exam the problem and in a way empowers them to make the better choice .As for cheating I always say your cheating yourself not fooling me you are the one that wants this i'm just an instrument to help deliver you to your goal it's all on you .

Diet is about 60% of the battle and 40% is exercise -together is the winning combo .The old myth all calories are equal is wrong your body is a fine tuned machine and it will burn the fuel (right choice foods ) or store (the wrong choice ) foods .

I urge my clients before starting their new life to make sure they check out with a doctor have their labs up to date and get the go ahead from them .

Taggart , i am vey interested to have a look at the weight loss contract, if you can hunt it out would be greatly appriecated, if you would like to contact me via this site that would be great thanks Mistress Mercia

MzMia -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 4:13:40 PM)

I would like to see the weight loss contract also.
I also want to agree that different people have different levels of control
in their relationships.
Some of us are very controlling, and their are submissives that want to be
controlled in many areas.
I would think that a Dominant should be able to have some influence on his/her
submissives appearance, clothes, habits and weight.
But as usual, to each their own.

Faramir -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 6:34:34 PM)

I don't ever talk about or engage in "weight control," "loosing weight" or anything that uses weight as a metric.  I think that is unhealthy, unproductive, and reflects an enfrnachisement in the sick rhetoric we have produced around our bodies and our health.

The more someone talks and thinks in terms of "weight," "loosing pounds" and "dieting," the farther they move from health, and the physical beauty that springs from health.  I don't believe in conspiracies, but it almost makes you want to think there is one, a conspiracy of the "weigth loss industry" to make people sick, and hate their bodies in their sickness.

I have "enforced" health within a relationship before, but I would really say it was more like coaching, inculcating and modelling.  Health means functional, strong bodies, and a modality for eating that encompasses the rela purpose of food: to fuel us and to be a pleasure.  Food is wonderful--we all deserve to be fed, to be fed well, and to take pleasure in our food.  Once we turn away from the sickness of dieting, the sick, horrible self-loathing of denial, and instead eat joyfully, we can let go of the maladaptions around eating.  We can stop gorging, sneaking, starving, purging, junking, and start eating.

It's such a pleasure to see someone stop being sick, and start being healthy.  To train their bodies to be strong and powerful, and to eat with pleasure and purpose, and to be healthy.

The impulse and desire to look good, to want to have a healthy, attractive body is good and wholesome.  We should have healthy, attractive bodies that reflect our wholeness and strength.  Form follows function, and once a person stops weighing themselves, and counting calories, and doing portion control, and all the sick, sick, ultimately suicidal tropes of the denial/loss culture, they can start to make their bodies healthy.

And once you are healthy, once you have made your body functionally powerful, you will find that your form reflects it, and you can stop denying, and permit yourself to be ok.

We were made to run, jump, twist, squat down, lift up, push and pull, and once that is pursued, you are on the road to health and beauty.

Shantra -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 6:58:28 PM)

I thank you so much for starting this thread.

I had lost 80lbs but due to emotional stress eating prior to recent major surgery and also quitting a 2 pack a day smoking habit 4 weeks before the surgery 20lbs has crept back on.  Master has been wonderfully understanding about it and has not pushed me during my recovery period.. could that be because it was easier to buy take out food than cook for him?  joking.. kind of.  But exercise has been a complete no no and it has come to the point that Master realised I will not lose any more weight without a strict and regular exercise program.  Hopefully tomorrow I will be released to do exercise as I have my pre-op check up.

I know that it is VERY important to Master that I be height and weight proportionate.. he does not mind curvy.. but this is too much.  He expects me to use my own self discipline to achieve the results he wants but he does discourage me from eating unhealthily.. like the large bar of chocolate I wanted yesterday and I got 'the look' and you are 'supposed' to be dieting.  That was enough to let me know 'nice' Master who was pampering his sick slave is letting her know enough is enough and it is time to get back to reality.

This thread helped a lot to remind me of that focus on him and what HE wants and expects from me with regard to my health and fitness.

zumala -> RE: How many Dominants enforce weight control? (6/3/2007 9:00:51 PM)

I would like it if my Dom wanted to help me improve my health by assisting with diet and exercise.  Currently I weigh 128 pounds.  Given my height and bone structure, I should probably weigh somewhere between 114 and 118 fully muscled.  I know that I'm no model and never will be, but I can at least be as healthy and fit as it is possible for me to be.
