Before I go to bed for the evening, I have to vent so I appologize in advance....Don't you hate it when someone promises they are coming over to see you and they don't bother call, email..anything to let you know that they cannot make it..especially when you cancelled all other plans for that person??? Well, unless there is some sort of emergency, I see no reason why they can't pick up the damn phone or a simple email, something..Well, I had it with this person- he's done it too many times and now he's on my "black list" lol...I always thought it was common courtesy to call ..but maybe that's just me.

sorry, I had to vent...

ahhh Krissi....rule of thumb is one second chance only. After that...it's not worth it. I tell them that up front too, not after it happens.

I have no idea why they do it...especially when they know you already. But it's not just you....

This has happened on more than one occasion so I am fed up with it...It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't given up a chance to go out for kareoke ( did i spell that right?) to sit at home.

Yeah, I know how that feels. And I agree, it is rude to not let you know. I can't understand why people who do these things aren't aware of just how rude they are being!

I have actually ended friendships for that very reason. If someone thinks that little of me to be that disrespectful, and thinks my time is so much less valuable than theirs, then I don't want them as a friend, period.

And you need to tell him exactly why when the opportunity arises. It's not like you're losing a friend

We are looking into forming a committe to look into a study to discuss the possibilities of making recommendations to the chair so that it may be considered as an option sometime in the near future, at least we're thinking about it.

time is the most precious commodity in the world. two strikes you're out. i dont wait more than 15 minutes without a call. well, before Master, now i'll wait till hell freezes over if he says so.
other people , 15 minutes thats it.
