Dear Ladies/Dominants and Anyone who wants to weigh in!! I believe in chastity to a limitted extent, in that I don't want my relationship (when I am in one) to be all about sex, and I like having control over what happens with his penis... However, I just read where a sub has been in a chastity device for 5months, and wonder if that is the norm, and weather there are side effects like what they say "if you don't use it you lose it." I wonder if other Dommes worry about their subs/slaves losing normal sexual function/desire because they get used to being locked up, or not permitted sex over months or years?? M - I'm not really into chastity so I will not give any advice. I'm sure some good advice is on it's way and perhaps also from male subs who've lived it and put themselves in self-chastity (I know many who do it without a Domme). I also do not like using chastity devices myself. I like to touch and feel them grow way too much. I know one submissive who is very much into chastity though and have been following the chastity threads with interest. Gentle Lady

Gentle Lady I guess there is an enormous interest in chastity by submissive men, and I wonder sometimes if it is because they enjoy it, or they think most Dominas demand/need them to enjoy it (control that specific aspect)... Hello. I have just starting serving a Dominant woman who requires me to be chaste. However, we aren't using a device: she wants me to control myself. I am grateful for this, since I don't want to be locked up that way and I am concerned that it could be dangerous in a number of ways. That said, the chastity I'm undertaking is pretty extreme, since I will not be allowed to orgasm at all: her orgasms will be enough for both of us, for the duration of the relationship, and I will focus exclusively on her pleasure. I had never considered chastity before, especially this extreme form, but here I am--what a guy will do for a Lady! I am still concerned that not orgasming at all might be a bad thing, biologically speaking, but my Mistress strongly disagrees. If anyone's interested, I will keep you informed as to my progress. If anyone has an informed medical opinion, I would also like to hear it. Thanks

There is no "biological" damage to chastity in and of itself. People sometimes choose to be chaste for a period of years. But, you may find that despite your best efforts to not orgasm, you may experience an occassional "wet dream" and this is a normal biological function you have no control over. I would avoid long term chastity device use. A normal functioning male will typically have a semi erect to erect penis at least 3-4 times a night while he sleeps. This is biological and is mother nature's way of actually maintaining blood supply to the penis tissues during rest. (Sleep studies are typically conducted on impotent men to determine physical vs. psychological dysfunction for this reason. If impotence related to physical reasons, then the man's penis fails to become erect during sleep periods. If erections occur with rest but unable to during sexual activity then function of the penis is not impeeded, and has other underlying causes) Any chastity device that prevents the normal nocturnal functions of the penis could lead to long term damage.

I will wade in with My first post on the forum with My take on chastity as the chastity belt is a device I have been using on one of My male slaves since 1999. he was experimenting with the belt even before he and I became Mistress and sub. I use the Carrara belt and own two of the devices. My slave is allowed out of the belt twice weekly for deep cleaning and every month or so I may allow an orgasm...occassionally more often for My entertainment. There have been no long term problems...very occassionally he may experience a small canker type sore on the end of his penis if the weather has been exceptionally hot causing sweating and rubbing. The one negative physically is that occassionally he will get thickening of the skin from the waist belt but a few days of freedom clears it up quite well. When I do not allow those few days the thickening will also darken the skin. Another negative to using a chastity device is that the cock is not available at My whim to grab and torment when I am having a spontaneous moment..but the benefits in the depth of his submission after a minimum of 10 days in chastity generally makes up for the negatives. I edge train him in the belt to keep him in frustration and when I wish to add an extra dose of humiliation I will force him to cum in chastity by using a very powerful electric Vibrator on the outside of the stainless steel tube.

It sounds like you monitor him fairly closely, allow him out fairly frequently, and intervene as needed... I was just fairly surprised when a sub on another thread said he had not been let out for 6months, and it struck me as risky to his normal functioning in the long run.. Long term chastity is one of those things I've always wanted to try once I had a stable partner. Unfortunatley, I also think it is one of those activities that once I was forced into it, I might find it to be something I really, REALLY hated. It's one of those things that I've always felt would be very useful in training me, but at the same time acknowledging that what is useful is not always what is most desired.

I would for example hold off on something that a sub came begging for and use it/administer it when I was ready. I think maybe mentioning a desire for it, than allowing her to use it at her whim Is desirable. I have learned that chastity is a useful tool in controlling a good number of submissives, and that is the reason I wanted to learn more about it because I'm okay with using whatever works, and to make sure it's a fairly safe alternative, though I would never place a boy in a chastity device for months at a time without release..

Welcome ot the boards, Shadowsdream. SweetDommes has mentioned you before, and I am glad to see you here and look forward to your input! I also want a fully functional boy. But chastity is very handy, and it is a requirement of Mine. However, weekly removal of the device, for orgasmic release and thorough cleaning is My rule of thumb. I have also had boys ask if I will put them into chastity and hold the key. I haven't consented to do this, as I prefer to have the boy under My roof, where I can monitor blood flow and comfort. Five months and permanent orgasm suppression is a bit too much for Me. But to each his own. There are alot of boys who want this, or think they want it. I am not comfortale with the idea, Myself. I don't like to milk, so I prefer regular orgasm and that, for Me is mandated as a weekly occurance. I agree with Shadowsdream that having a chastity device might ruin a spontaneous moment here and there, but I am one who can have an equal amount of fun with forms of teasing that don't directly involve the cock and balls. So I am more than willing to trade for the power of controlling his sexuality.

No I would never keep him in chastity for months without at the very least a thorough cleaning of the belt...even if I did not wish to check for any sores due to rubbing or pinching I would still insist on the deep cleanings. Even though the cock tube is well ventilated to allow urine a good flow and can be kept relatively clean with a shower hose an odor still builds up over days..personally I have no interest in enduring urine odor for any kink. It is not particularly unusual to not allow an orgasm for 2 or 3 months...as a matter of fact I enjoy taking him past his frustration into acceptance.
